None of the prequel villains were interesting. The closet was Dooku due to his relationship with QuiGon/Obi-wan which was fucking wasted.
Kylo on the other hand was improperly trained, a personal connection with previous heroes, a desire to live up to his grandfather's legacy which he never will (and he knows that). On top of that he raw ability. Ya he lost a lightsaber fight, after suffering multiple injuries including an explosive round to the rib that causes stormtroopers to go flying. And again, he did that without having finished his training yet.
Kylo has the potential to be interesting unlike the Prequel villains who were boring as sin.

Thanks for uploading TFA. Finally watched and was surprisedI enjoyed it. I definitely see the criticism about it being too much like ANH. In reality, it was a blend of all the Star Wars films. That's one of the things I dislike the most but it did set up future movies to be more stand-alone like new aliens and planets.Overall, it's an okay addition to the series.

Not specifically that, but force users are likely to be ESPECIALLY good at anything they put their mind and effort to, and tend to outclass non-force users. The Jedi and the Sith looked for little kids who were displaying that greatness over their peers at such a young age, because it was usually a good signified of a force-wielder.
They explore the post-Order 66 consequences of this in A New Dawn. When Kanan was just drifting through the galaxy, taking on odd jobs to make money, he'd find the force was making things generally easier for him, and that exceptionalism made him stand out. So he drank a lot to keep his mind unfocused and never stayed in one place for too long.
