As an anthology, it inevitably has the episodes that just don't work at all.
Other than that, it took a shit movie and made it into a great show.
Also it is currently the greatest looking 3D-animated television show by a long shot.

The whole thing is unnecessary. It's somewhat hard to reconcile TCW's more reasonable (though still conflicted) Anakin with the disaster we see in the movies, despite the show's best efforts. Ahsoka's a decent character (I guess) but similarly feels awkward when considered with the movies. Everything about Maul's revival and Savage Oppress was stupid and utterly pointless. The first two seasons were boring. The entire series was ultimately limited by being an interview series starring established characters set between two shitty movies. It was a very graceful success considering that, though.
It was a decent show with some cool episodes but that's about it.
