honestly the most annoying thing about this book, to me, is that kate leth purely markets this as all ages and uses that as the reason it's so slice of life and full of little action.
to me that is no excuse in the 90s DC had a shit on of tie-in comics to their shows, which were all billed as all ages as well. yet the old BTAS based comics were incredibly good and weren't afraid to deal in some violence or grit that was in the same tone as the show, which was also an all ages cartoon.
"all ages" is no excuse for a book that has very little substance or stakes in the narrative. patsy solves all her problems so simply, all the action is off-screen because kate leth can't write a fight scene, and it's not interesting to read.

Why is it so hard for people to understand this. Like this substanceless fluff is not the answer to overly dark and violent comics. BTAS, JLU these are proper all ages interpretations, ones that still ground superheroes as useful and powerful, actually saving people.
