I think you know why I made this. Which is better the original movie script or the one we got?
I have a feeling that this is going to be the graphic novel that is coming out in june

>>80943904
It would be nice, but the graphic novel's already described as a retelling of the movie. I would not mind one bit if they took some liberties with the script and changed some things around a little, however.
Here's hoping the prequel part won't be boring.
>>80943940
I think so. What's the deal with that Annalise Winters leopard chick again?
>>80943848
I like what we got.
I felt like the collar thing was a bit too heavy handed, and a collar would only make sense if there were any domesticated animals in Zootopia. As far as I could tell, they were all wild animals. The pred/prey relationship has more in common with race relations that a world where preds are forced to wear collars. That seems more like Nazi Germany.

I'm very happy with the final product, you can still feel the love that the makers put into it. I wouldn't have minded the "original," but I don't think I would've liked it as much, and I definitely don't like the ending of the original. It would also have done much worse at the box office, with general audience appeal. But I do like my concept art book, lots of neat stuff. The decision to "see it through Judy's eyes" was definitely for the better, and allowed the interactions between Nick and her to shine.

honestly they are both good for different reasons, but it is clear why they made the changes that they did to the script. i just hope that they use some of the unused assets in a sequel.
>tfw i want to see a paranoid conspiracy nut of a honey badger interact with judy, with nick egging both of them on.
>Nick claims to know everyone
>in order to keep up with so much information, he takes small notes on everyone he meets
>Judy sees the notes Nick wrote about her on the day they met
>says things like "cute," "naive," "hopeless," and "meter maid," but there are a couple things there she doesn't understand
>she brings the notes to him and asks
>"Nick, what do 'shortstack' and 'DFC' mean?"
so i'm still waiting to be able to post this on ffn or whatever because of the account limitations so here's an update
complete with what I think is a great theme for this and a mood image. hope you guys like it.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little fluff? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class at Zootopia community college, and I’ve been involved in numerous scams and tricks, and I have over 300 confirmed hustles.
I am trained in evading taxes and I make 200 bucks a day, 365 days a year since I was 12.
You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, carrots. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of foxes across Zootopia and getting the police to pay for my jumbo pop. I will not only sell you a pawpsicle, but I will sell one to each of your puny friends. You’re fucking broke, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can dodge taxes in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare paws.
Not only am I extensively trained in hustling, but I have access to the entire Big gangster community and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable tail off the face of the continent, you little wabbit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your muzzle.
But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you fluffy prey idiot.

>and a collar would only make sense if there were any domesticated animals in Zootopia
Keep in mind this world is built such that all animals obtain sentience and developed civilization over time, just as we had. It's an interesting anthropological thought experiment to think what differences and similarities would there we. From the historical concept art, we know they first used simple stone tools and made spears like us, and they also obviously don't have the taboo with fur items (Mr. Big's rug) as we would have with a human rung.
My Zootopia folder already has 214 images.

Reptilians begin immigrating into Zootopia. Reptilian terrorists blow up the walls between the habitats, because they see walls as cages or whatever. Judy and Nick have to deal with a city who are suddenly very frightened of the new reptile immigrants, and how they want them out of the city.

Why does it hurt so much knowing that i'll never live in zootopia or talk to nick or judy? These feelings can't be good for me.
This was a fun movie about racism. I hope the next movie is about mixed-race dating. They could do a lot with the concept, like having Judy's parents trying to arrange a relationship for her with the nice rabbit two farms over despite her clearly starting a relationship with Nick, and they try their best not to be bigoted to him when they come to visit but it still slips out.

I wouldnt be surprised if they did it partially as apology to bateman since they ousted him from the lead mid production
Plus it makes sense. We first experience the city with a character who is just experiencing it, then we see more thru the eyes of someone who knows the place well

The new script works better than the old because in the old, the only one who held prejudice was Hopps.
In the actual film, Judy is looked down upon because of her race/species/whatever, and no one believes she can be a real cop. And then Judy has prejudice against preds and specifically foxes due to past experiences.
It showed that both sides have their prejudices, and that they can both learn from them instead of labeling one side good and the other bad.

I'm pretty sure that was just part of the ruse he whipped up on the spot.
There was no guarantee that someone else would pay for him, especially considering how most people generally viewed foxes. No one else in was coming to his rescue aside from Judy. He probably realized he hit the jackpot with her and decided to milk the act some more by pretending he forgot his money.

But they never bring up reptiles and birds at all, especially durring the "prehistoric" exposition.
I think if there's a sequel, it will be like this big conspiracy where it was believed that mammals killed everything else off, but turns out that was wrong. Or hell, maybe the gorvernment knows about it and constantly tries to cover it up as something else.
I want the villain to be a Crobra, who's trying to end the reign of the mammals and starts doing these terrorists attacks with reptiles on the city but turns out she'sactually being controlled by a small bird, who wants to start a war that will kill everything else off.
