The only episode with well directed action was the one with Nuke at the end, I thought. That and Kilgrave's escape from the cell, mostly because of the quick succession of 'OH FUCK' moments. That was GOAT.
Every super-strong character has trouble being brought to a tv screen because everything they lift seem like Styrofoam. You never feel the impact and you could always see the actors being lifted up by strings and stuff like that. Kristen is a great actress but she's built like a chopstick so there's no way around it. Also, Jessica's strength is a bit inconsistent throughout.
Not that it hinders the show at all, but I can see why it was underwhelming for people coming from DD.

I don't think 'generic' is the right criticism exactly, but the JJ action scenes are terrible. It's like in chick flicks, there's always some scene that's supposed to be for the men who got dragged there, but it never makes any sense in the context of the film and the men aren't satisfied by it regardless. That's what the fights in JJ felt like. Shit that didn't really work, was tacked on only because people felt it "had to be there", and ultimately half-assed and boring.
