Probably Marville issue 3 or 4, the one that goes off the rails and stops using speech bubbles and starts just writing large portions of text on the "art" itself, where they also meet god.

This, for it to go peak Room it has to be an insane passion project made by a lunatic with more ambition then sense.

Clearly it's Delgo.
>>

What... the fuck am I looking at?
>>
>>80856294
>Batman & Robin
No fucking way. It has issues but it's nowhere near the worst capeshit film, let alone The Room/Foodfight levels of bad.
>>
>>80856408
Oh child, you have such sights to see.
>>
>>80856467
This. Batman and Robin is just plain bad. There's nothing interesting or entertaining about it. You need to transcend the limits of being terrible and wrap back around to creating an unintentional masterpiece before you achieve Room status.
>>
>>80856467
Yeah Batman and Robin is way too campy by design to count as the caoe version of The Room. We need something that is unintentionally funny and enjoyable for none of the reasons it was intended
>>
>>80856479
I'm probably going to regret this as much as The Unfunnies, but is it a movie or a comic or what?

Another particularity is The Room is a relatively small production... so 1990 Captain America?

Batman Odyssey.

It's trying to be this artsy fartsy pseudo-avant garde thing, but it ends up being laughably ridiculous instead.

Roger Corman Fantastic Four
>>
>>80856685
Delgo made it into mainstream theaters though and had a huge budget and ridiculous cast. Look at this shit. They thought it was going to be huge

>>
>>80856643
More the Reb Brown Captain America.
>>
>>80856601
That's how bad it is. Arnold as Freeze was just stupid and embarrassing. It wasn't even funny in a 'the fuck were they thinking?' kind of way. I mean, that question still applies, but he's fucking upstaged in terms of giving a bad performance by almost every other actor in that movie, so his bizarre casting doesn't even stand out.

Think about it - If everyone in The Room was a fucking weird as Wiseau, it would have been a really boring movie. It would have come across as a terrible SNL sketch that dragged for way too long.

Too much weird and/or terrible, and you ruin it. God damned George Clooney was a worse actor as Batman that fucking Arnold as Freeze! I at least could buy that Arnold loved his frozen wife.

I knew that godawful voice sounded familiar!
>>
>>80856241
Nah, Foodfight was a cynical film looking to exploit audiences. The Room was an honest and passionate attempt (and failure) to create something brilliant.
Delgo (>>80856342) fits the bill much better.
>>

Mother fucker.
>>

>John Vernon

I forgot he was in Delgo, goddamnit.

Well, time to dig out my Outlaw Josey Wales DVD again.
>>
>>80856702
I legitimately like the Roger Corman version more than the big budget versions we got.
>>
>>80856834
Except Delgo actually had a budget.

Batman Odyssey is really the ONLY thing that fits.
>>
>>80856215
Batman Odyssey, no question.
>>
>>80856261
I think Tommy Wiseau said he would be interested in doing a sequel. I admit, I kind of want to see what his sequel to Trank's film would be like.
>>

I'm casting a 3rd vote for Odyssey.

Foodfight had a (poorly handled) $65 million dollar budget.
The Room had $6 million to its name.

Dunno how much Delgo cost, but it was probably a lot.

>>80860495
Now HERE'S where we can compare low budgets.
>>
Batman Odyssey is kino, or whatever's the comic equivalent

Seriously, read the comic without the reading the speech bubbles. It's like Batman meets Moebius

I hope you're being sarcastic. Or ironic. Or whatever.
>>
>>80862127
The fact that a movie like The Room had a budget of 6 million in of itself is ludicrous. It is an independent relationship drama with absolutely no special effects or large sequences. A person could film a movie thematically and aesthetically equivalent to The Room for something closer to 100,000 if not much less.
>>
>>80856215
Marville. A comic written by someone who really shouldn't have written a comic.

>that's doomguy wearing batman's costume.

The Doom comic was drawn by a guy who used to work at Neal Adams' Continuity Studios. That's why even though the Doom comic has a 90's style, if you compare it closely to Neal Adams' stuff you can see what the artist got from working with Adams, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

You know, I'm going to give this one the edge over Delgo. They're both passion projects that the creator thought was actually profound, but Marville has the bonus of being comprehensible nonsense like the Room is.
>>
>>80865845
If Tommy Wiseau actually used his budget effectively, he probably could have added in that flying vampire car he wanted so badly.

It really isn't.

It's appallingly racist and a chore to get through. It's the feature length equivalent of goatse, it has none of the gormless charm that makes The Room so fun.

I have way more fun watching Foodfight then the Room. The offensive stereotypes and sexual innuendo combined with the licensed properties and bad animation give it a real "Who was this made for?" charm.
>>
A poorly written story where everyone except an obvious stand in for the creator is a horrible person and is so bad it's good? Clearly sonichu is the room of comics.

I saw this on an Amazon review for the series and that s what convinced me to pick up the hardcover. It's so true. But I dig shlock.
