If you could change one thing about Zootopia, what would it be?
>>80779792
The ending felt a bit rushed, so add like half an hour to it I guess.
>>80779792
Turn everyone into humans.
Credits start rolling after that part where Nick bites Judy's neck.
>>80779792
I think it was perfect as is. Granted I really do want to see Judy and Nick end up together but I'd rather that be touched on in a sequel and fleshed out properly. Oh and I felt Gazelles name lacked any thought. I mean a lot of names were sort of lazy. Otterton, Weazelton, Lionheart, but Gazelle's is just plain ol' Gazelle.
Speaking of Zootopia I've an idea in my head for a little story that happens after the movie but I'm not a writer. Should I just forget about it or try typing it out and see how badly I get ridiculed for it on an anonymous image board?
>>80779792
Not much, there's a lot if like to see out of the world though.
The other districts, a car chase, and badass cop stuff with Nick and Judy to name a few.
More time with Bellwether. More time trying to learn her motivations.
A slower response time from the ZPD.
>>80779792
More Nick.
>>80779939
You're anonymous. What's to lose?
>>80779857
It was already about an hour and 45 minutes long. How many Disney movies go past the two hour mark?
Take out pigs and sheep since domestic animals supposedly don't exist in that universe
>>80779939
Type it out for sure.
But beware, some of the mods don't like fics getting posted in these threads
So for best results, don't post in a fast moving thread I guess
>>80780091
Not even as a pastebin link or something?
>Fear ALWAYS works
What did she mean by this?
>>80780028
I do feel like climax could have been a little longer, though I dunno how unless we just saw more of the museum.
>>80780028
idk dude this is the first movie i've seen in like two hundred years
>>80779939
I think it's her stage name. Maybe there's an aesthetic movement associated with the naturalists. No clothes, no names, just pure animal roots. But no meat eating, unless both parties are into that.
>>80779792
Flesh out Bellweather a bit. She had a shitty job, but lots of people do. She was still one of the most powerful people in the city. Hell, if she either didn't officially put Judy on the case/let her use the traffic cams or quit as soon as Lionheart was arrested, she would have won.
I've also been thinking about writing a fan work until the sequel comes out. Something to do with Zootopia's nocturnal denizens.
>>80780113
As far as motivating large masses of people goes, fear usually gets a strong reaction quickly.
I'd give the cops and Judy guns. Even if they never fire them, I'd feel this would make the world feel just a bit more real. Also maybe make the movie 10 mins longer to flesh out Bellwether just a bit more
>>80780108
A pastebin might get by, definitely not a FFnet link.
>>80780064

>>80779792

>>80779857
>>80779981
This really. Cannot help but feel like the climax was very underwhelming and a bit rushed..
>>80780170
Well they have tasers
Judy didn't for the movie since she didn't have access to police resources, but apparently in one of the picture books that takes place after the movie, she has a taser
>>80779902
Then what will be the conflict?
>>80780205
>There is nothing better than an aggressive short girl.
Exceptagressive short girl with strong thighs.
>>80780170
Honestly even without guns it felt rather real in the sense that normal things like death scare them. I mean we see characters in Disney movies die before. Bambi's mom, Mufasa, so death isn't foreign. Them mentioning it a lot however is. The drill sergeant at the start says it about a dozen times, Nick asks Judy if she's afraid he'll eat her, Judy and Bellwether mention it at the end when she darts Nick.
I bet they didn't have real guns because they wanted the main dangerous thing in their world to be... the animals themselves. The predators could overpower many of the smaller animals easy, herbivores like Bogo could tear the shit out of almost anybody outside of maybe Elephants and other very large animals. The danger is already there in a way, but in another it isn't. Because they're all like any normal person in our world: Just trying to get by without much hassel, get home, relax, and try to be happy.
>>80780113She's a politician. She isn't just a random secretary Lionheart promoted to assistant mayor for the sheep vote, she has been playing her cards right who whole career. Fear is what she used to get the sheep on her side and keep them loyal and she knew that she could use it to control Zootopia. Fear made her who she is and fear gets her what she wants.
>>80780205

Reverse the changes back to Nick being the main character and bring back the shock collars.
As much as I hate being a shipperfag, I really wished there were something more between these two. The chemistry between them is way to good to ignore. The writers tried to make their relationship platonic, but I couldn't really see it.
>>80780386
I have saved that from the webm anon, but thanks.
>>80780205
>>80780288
Can confirm. My ex-girlfriend was 5'0" high test beauty and used to play soccer. 34DDD, huge thighs, and pretty bright blue eyes.
Best of all, she pursued me for some odd reason. I'll never forget when she was showing off her Halloween costume (Kim Possible) to me and she took off her pants and was wearing some spandex shorts underneath. Since I'm an autist, I didn't get the hint until a few weeks later when she came into my room at night and basically sat on my face.

There are all sorts of little nods hinting towards a future relationship, I think it's the writers covering all the bases for sequel material.
>>80779792
Nothing, honestly.
>>80780406
>The writers tried to make their relationship platonic
You haven't seen their Spotify playlists, have you. If anything, they were just trying to set it up so the two of them getting together is a supremely satisfying conclusion instead of just a standard Disney Male/Female lead pairing.
>>80779981
sheeps conspiracy
>>80780319
To add to this, the sheep have been largely fearful/hateful to foxes in particular. Nick implies that they always avoid him. "They never let me get this close."
>>80780406
I don't think it's so much that they wanted it to stay or just be platonic, but that they wanted the characters to be natural. Normal people just don't instantly want to marry someone who seems interesting. Nick and Judy dislike each other at first and actually get to know one another quite a bit as the movie goes on. They have a genuine reason to be stuck together and to interact.
Now in the sequel if they aren't a couple, get married, or at least have a really cute little kiss scene at the end where Judy just tackles him and nearly makes out with him, I'll be pissed. The chemistry was way too good and Judy already cried her eyes out thinking she'd never have Nick in her life again.

I wanted Judy to get affected by the drug (not in the same setting or situation as the end of the movie) and Nick having to do some sleuthwork on his own to find a way to cure her WITHOUT resorting to any sort of "love conquers all, just hug her and she snaps out of it" quick fix.
>>80780399
That setting was horrifying. It's good they dropped it.
>>80780649
He never said they were all the same scam. I'd wager he's got all sorts of things lined up, the pawpsicle one being the one we see most especially with him eating one at the end.
>>80780658
I don't feel it's platonic either but I don't want to get my hopes up at the same time. Mainly because it feels like every time I like or hope something happens in various forms of media that I enjoy, it doesn't happen or is done poorly.

>>80780720
Yeah. I was trying to think about how the commercials would go and it's like every scene with a predator would remind the audience that these fun little animated characters are actually violently oppressed and enjoy a lower quality of life due to living in a world of prejudice. I was thinking there'd be a montage set to Danger! High Voltage that shows how many times Nick, Clawhauser, and Honey get shocked during the course of the movie. Fun for the whole family!
I would have liked it if they integrated more of the original story into the released version's like having a nightmare sequence with the shock collars, and getting to now Nick more

>not TUSKbun
>>80779857

I don't know about a whole half hour myself.
Probably more like five to fifteen more minutes so we can dedicate a bit more time to development of other characters and maybe just an extra minute or two to it at most.
>>80780882

>>80781312
Yeah, I've seen that in the concept art. Don't recall him opening them much during the film.
Honestly, I get why they gave Dawn human eyes; so that the audience trusts her and identifies with her, so that way we don't see the twist coming (even though we did). Real sheep eyes would make her look weird and sinister.
Frufru, however, I think would have been fine with little black eyes, as it would still make her endearing, as the audience would associate her with a toy or a doll.
It's kinda fun to think of how natural eyes would affect they way you view a character. Nick would be more untrustworthy with regular fox eyes, for example.

I almost think that's all the more reason he should have had regular fox eyes. The AUDIENCE trusts him less, and when his whole backstory comes to light and the whole press conference, we start to realize we ourselves were judging Nick the same way he hated, based solely on his appearance and race.
As a side note, I'm starting to headcanon maybe "human eyes vs. animal eyes" is some kind of mutation that's been cropping up in the Zootopia-verse in the last thousand or so years and has become increasingly common to the point of dominance, but many still possess animal eyes too.

>>80781852
do you suppose it hurts a lot to use?
>>80781803
I want to hug that otter
>>80779792
watching the cam i noticed that the animation seems convoluted. maybe break some of the long takes into shorter compositions to emphasize the actions and reactions of characters.
Make it a little longer. Give nick some more back story. let his street smarts pay off a little bit more.
get rid of the blueberry gag at the end. let Judy really have to run from nick
Also more buddy cop gags

do you want to have dull teeth?
I want to watch Nick and Judy relaxing at home and just having a couple innocent kisses.
>>80781829
I'd assume most fanfiction would fall under Fair Use, so long as you're not making money off of it or anything.
so yes, if you were able to prove that Disney plagiarized your writing, you'd have legal grounds. But since it's Disney, they'd likely just throw you a few hundred grand and tell you to keep quiet about it.

>>80781491
I'm sure they'll restock the book and hopefully fix the digital version. It'd be stupid if they wouldn't considering how high in demand it is.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who pre-ordered it on Amazon and didn't get anything yet.
>>80781872
Um...
What is going n with that neck and that tail?
Did he just cut her head off with his tail? Is that the red splatter?
What is going on?
>>80781889Bully the woolly fully.
>>80781818
pretty much.
It also means there's other layers of the divide in Zootopia.
Randomly, I was kind of amused when they said "An otter did this?" in the limo. Mostly because, seriously, have you seen the shit otters do? They bash their food with heavy rocks and as I understand actually can fuck shit up pretty easily with their claws.
>>80781897
nah. if it did hurt, less predators would use it and that's not what the city wants
>>80781854
>tfw I've covered my pillow with a comforte.

>>80781954
>They really did a great job on the movements and little things like how ears behave and the like. When he was a kid, my dad had foxes as pets. When he saw a preview on tv, he said the show really captured how they acted.
This somehow makes me happy
>>80780487
>I sat for a while making this
>someone with actual skills drew this
my life is a joke
>>80781769
>Judy is a horror movie buff while Nick is a little bitch when it comes to them
I want this
>>80781933
I dunno the full story behind the source, but it's a really silly storyboard.
>>80781923
Casual cuddling is the best. Second to post-coital cuddling, at least.

>>80780683
oh come on
>>80781981
I like yours better; it more closely resembles the original image, so you know it's a parody of that.
>>80781933
storyboard artists get bored easily.
there's probably loads of Judy and Nick porn from them.
>>80781997
I dont want any fuck...
>>80782033
Oh god, imagine if there's a Zootopia version of the Rugrats storyboard jam.
>>80782047
>>80782025
>really Jordan basketball grip her face
Haha
>>80782033
I doubt they are allowed to draw porn on company time.
>>80782033
>there's probably loads of Judy and Nick porn from them.
>Tfw you will never lead a crack team to raid the disney vault to extract their huge stash of porn drawn by the animators
>>80782065
>>80781491
>The book is in a state of being a bit rare and/or sold out
I'm in fucking SEAsia. Fuck this, it's never gonna reach here.
How many kids would Nick and Judyadopt?
>>80781754
>And then the fanfic author sues for plagarism.
No. Disney could steal fan ideas with no legal prosecution bothering them.
But it would still harm their image and heads would roll. So yeah, that's why the writers shouldn't read 'em.
>>80781997
>no option for "I wanna fuck them both"
>>80782065
>That mix of english and korean
I dunno why I find that so funny.

>>80782065
Anyone have or can do a translation?
>>80782098
I like to think one or 2.
I doubt Judy wants hundreds of kids, much less Nick.
>>80782124
>Yea me and my girl violated the laws of god and biology. What have you done?
Is it a coincidence that Ginnifer Goodwyn looks like a human version of Judy?
>>80780399
What was the original plot?
>>80782114
Well in my defense, the black ones are always forgettable.
>>80782098
I've always said three; two rabbits, one fox.
>>80782098
Two or three. One bunny, one fox, at the very least.
>>80780064
Apparently corgis exist so this isn't really consistent.
>>80780136
>tongue

>>80782149
The coincidence seems even bigger when you notice she has a very similar voice.
>>80782061
