Are there any comics like superior foes, or is it one of a kind with its delivery?
>>
For a great series about the lives of supervillains, try Suicide Squad, volume 1, issues #01-66, from 1987 through 1992, by John Ostrander, Luke McDonnell, Kim Yale et al.
>>
Astonishing Ant-Man. Same writer. Same general humor style.
>>
Justice League International and its follow-ups. Not the same premise but similar humor.

Also the current Deadpool stuff since Duggan came on has been actually really funny.
>>
>>80777160
But that's not nearly as good.
>>
>>80777231
Your post pains me.
>>
>>80777210
Astonishing Ant-Man isn't that good.
>>
>>80777329
Don't worry about it. Superior Foes isn't that good.
>>

>Justice League International and its follow-ups. Not the same premise but similar humor.
Too bad it's not funny.
>>
I've never read this. What's the premise?
>>
>>80777231
Kill yourself, and take your shitty reddit comic with you.
>>
>>80777402
Well, neither is Superior Memes.
>>
>>80777402
Shut up, retard.
>>
>>80777462
Fuck you, it's the best comic of the last 5 years.
>>
>>80777231
>>80777402
Agreed. Eighties humor is too outdated and can't hold up against the more enlightened humor of the modern age. Personally, I refuse to read any comics from before 2000.

First of all, as everybody knows, it's common knowledge that each and every single comic published in the nineties was pure, irredeemable, edgy grimderp shit. It's called the "Dark Age" for a reason, duh. Secondly, I refuse to read anything from before the nineties, because all the comics from those stone ages before I was born have wordy, old-style writing and bland, old-style artwork, and so they're just so boring and lame that they simply aren't worth my time.

I simply demand better from my entertainment.
>>
Johns's early 00s Flash run and the associated minis aren't really as humorous but they're good villain stories
>>
>>80777471
Is this supposed to be funny?
>>
>>80777484
>it's the best comic of the last 5 years.
Muh Omega Men and Vision.
>>
>>80777402
I didn't like JLI but I liked Formerly Known as the JL and I Can't Believe It's Not the JL
>>
>>80777498
You've got to be shitting me with that suggestion.
>>
>>80777532
Omega Men is not good. Vision is good but it's still not as good as Superior Foes.
>>
>>80777532
A DC comic _and_ a Marvel comic? Such distinguished taste.

Boy, we sure are lucky that Marvel and DC can always be relied upon to produce the best comics of any given era, and that nothing else can ever compete.
>>
>>80777532
Captain America: White. Both of you fags should shut the fuck up.
>>
>>80777545
I don't know what you mean unless OP only wanted more humorous books rather than villain book suggestions.
>>
>>80777485

1/10

heres your reply
>>
>>80777484
that would be The Auteur
>>
>>80777568
This.
>>
>>80777063
Superior foes was fun but it's so overrated.

Anyway the closest you'll find is Spencer's Ant-Man so either you like that or nothing.

If anything it's underrated.

You're not giving Spencer enough credit, for he is one who is fatedly destined to take his place amongst the pantheon of Comic Gods.

Bunch of C and B list villains plot to pull a big heist.
>>
>>80777730
>Johns
>Hickman

It's like Always Sunny if The Gang were supervillains instead of just ordinary pieces of shit.

While Doc Ock was the Superior Spider-Man, a bunch of B and C list villains form a new Sinister Six. Except in their first appearance in Superior Spider-Man SpOck took their sixth member, The Living Brain, into custody and reprogrammed him into working for him.

They don't seek out a new sixth member and decide to just continue being the Sinister Six and splitting the earnings between the five of them instead of six, but they're all plotting to fuck over the other four anyway.
>>
>>80778540
Not everything is for everyone, but of course you can't spell contrarian without /co/

Simone's secret six, rogues revenge and rogues rebellion.

So I just read the first issue because of this thread and I gotta say it's pretty good so far.

Shocker is CUTE!

Dematteis and Giffen say hi.
>>
>>80777730
I feel like Morrison kind of doesn't belong in that group since he's part of the Brit wave with Gaiman and Milligan and friends.

I don't know who I'd replace him with though.
>>
>>80778540
One time someone posted positively about it on tumblr dot com so obviously everyone here thinks its shit.
>>
All-Star Section eight

or read hitman by ennis
>>
>>80777568
Nice shit taste.
>>
>>80777063
I know I'm going to get absolutely shit on for this, but i think i got a bit of the same vibe from fractions Hawkeye.

It's not supervillains, but it has that feel of cape comics taking down to a flawed street level where everyone kinda realize how silly they are.
>>
>>80777603
I like you.
>>
>>80777063
You could try its predecessor: Deadly foes of spider-man.
>>
>>80777160
Good suggestion actually, feels like anyone can die (cept Deadshot), had the pie arc, is a very good read, I'd say go for it.
