Man hey really better do a good job implementing Frank into the Elektra / Hand plot cause just from press it already looks fragmented as fuck. To introduce the Hand and Stick in the first season they pretty much had to completely pull the brakes on the Kingpin story and do a one episode back door pilot for their OWN SHOW.
That being said the Hand shit was always my favorite from the Miller run so I'm hype. I'm curious about the villain and if we'll see Kirigi.

Also the biggest criticism of both Daredevil AND Jessica Jones was that they harped too long on one inane plot thread for 13 episodes and it leads to episodes like the one with the Russians and the longwinded Kingpin flashback.
I HOPE it's fragmented, because the thirteen episode focus on an A plot with various inane sideplots that lead absolutely nowhere does not good serialized television make.

DeKnight is a cool guy, but I felt that the further away the season went from Goddard, the weaker it got.
Mostly is that the last 3 or 4 episodes slow down and build up to a weak finale. If it were a better finale they would've felt more critical and tension-building.
That said, I heard in a podcast that he had to write the last episode in like, 3 or 4 days, and he came up with the ill intent speech was done in the aeroplane from LA to NY.
The production on the show was very very rushed, especially towards the end. Frankly it's a miracle it was as good as it was, but Daredevil is always blessed with good stories, even from bad writers.

The punisher is a weird character where a movie isn't enough to get him, but a continuous 13 hours of following him and watching the same slaughter over and over is way too much.
He works best in short bursts, with each expanding his pathos. Bring him up a couple of times here and there, but his own show isn't needed, especially since that grittiness is already there in the Daredevil show. He doesn't add a lot besides slightly more satisfying catharsis.
They should use the Netflix shows/tone to explore more stuff. Jessica Jones and Iron Fist are great examples of variations on street level.
I'd rather have Cloak and Dagger or something more creative. Maybe street-level magic? Who's Marvel's Constantine?

I'll be honest I kind of agree. I love the punisher. The Romita Jr Warzone was my first foray into him and once I got my hands on Ennis punisher and welcome back frank. Well that alongside the Joe Kelly Deadpool felt like a wave of kick ass washing over my teenage malaise created by the clone saga and all the other gunk of the 90s as a marvel fan. Kept me going up until Marvel Civil War ruined it again for another few years too.
But as much as I dig punisher....he has no arc. He kinda can't, hes like street level hulk. A force of nature. He might show glints of personality, pathos, drama. But for punisher to BE punisher he can't really have development. Even interpersonal relationships can only be kinda fleeting things. So a show would be kinda hard to make work without fucking up the character and still retaining viewer interest throughout.
That being said if we got a telling of the Ennis stories spanning the ma gnucci stuff up until Nixon Island....id be okay i think with that.
As for street level magic. Yeah i dont know of many street level MAGICIANS.
The closest i can think of is street level supernatural shit. Which could be cool. Like id love a show starring Blade, Franke Drake, and hannibal king.
