Maybe I'm just being optimistic here, but I don't think it'll be another three years. Three by the way fags, not 5. The longest has been three. Ok so in 2008 season 3 aired, then 4.1 in 2009 and 4.2 in 2010. That's 29 episodes consectuviley released over three years, the most venture bros in such a short time period we've gotten ever. And these seasons are really where the animation picks up and they do a lot more with the characters and story. I think after working so hard they needed a little break, which is why season 5 took so long. Then in season 6, they use almost none of the sets from seasons 1-5, they have to design all new sets, new venture house, new monarch house, New York landscape, etc. They introduce a fuckton new characters and I've noticed that so many characters have their own music that plays in scenes with them so they have to make that. It's the first fully continuity based season so keeping track of it is harder than ever. Having to basically start from scratch is probably why season 6 took so long. But now they're comfortable in their NYC environment, and they might be able to bring us season 7 in two years instead of three.

I don't think this is entirely true. They got divorced, yes, but they got divorced in like 2008, before she had recorded her Season 4 finale dialog.
I think the bigger matter is that Doc and Jackson never wanted Triana to be a big part of the show. I just marathoned all five seasons of commentary and they mention (during basically every single Triana episode) that they never once planned on Dean/Triana actually happening. They never thought it was a real plot point. They always considered Triana to be out of Dean's league, and sort of leading him on. Not maliciously, but like, when a ten year old boy has a crush on his sixteen year old babysitter? That kind of thing. She was just being nice to him, but she was never interested.
They wrote her out because they were tired of people expected some romance plot to come to fruition, when they had no desire for such a thing.
Same thing happened with the ORB. They wrote it out by breaking it in the Season 4 flashback, because they were tired of people hounding them about it. They even literally said something like, "We're not fucking Inuyasha, this is a comedy show on Cartoon Network. We're not going to start a fifty episode arc about Dean's romance or the Battle of the ORB."

I mean, when people go the waifu route, it's fair enough. That's why they got rid of Kim after all. But I hate it when creators introduce love as a plot point and then get pissy when people expect it to go somewhere. It's not that I ever thought Dean would get with her, but I actually like her as a character, so y'know, it'd be nice to see her. Even Orpheus himself isn't part of this season, but they managed to get Billy and White in New York.
Either way, the ORB complaint is just straight bullshit. You introduce this huge world ending thing that has implications decades in the past, and you just break it because people thought it was something and it's fucking nothing. That's laziness at best and incompetence at worst.
Half the reason I think the show takes so long these days is because they just can't think of anything to do with them anymore. This New York/Morpho plot is cool, at least, right now. But what are they gonna do when the totally convenient New York branch of the Guild goes belly up and Sheila finds out about Morpho and everything? Hell, they've even admitted the season doesn't end on any big high note.

The perfect ending for me is Rusty joins the guild, because when you think about it, that's the only way to get them off your back. Of course he doesn't actually want to arch anyone, he just wants to stop the endless stream of villains busting up his house.
