So how come cartoons nowadays rarely have an intro? It doesn't even have to have a song, just an eye-catching intro.
Is it because muh running time and adverts?
That dance sequence is so schway.
>>80608389
That whole intro is schway as fuck.

Commercials
>>80608351
Most do have an intro.
>>80608555
the intros are barely there, usually lasting only five seconds or so, or just flashing the title.
>>80608351
yes
you know some shows coming out now are literally just 20 minutes. that's how far down we are. a third of every 30 minute show is commercials, even at the premiere. when we were kids it was a fifth.
>>80608351
Maybe I don't watch enough TV, but most of the shows that come to mind do have decently sized intros
Sometimes a show that does have an intro still has it cut to have more time for commercials though
>>80608351
I remember watching this like a year ago and my mom said "wow they are dancing like white people".
why not just cut the credits (put them in the intro) and simply have "next time in x show" like in decade-and so on kamen riders
>>80609919
I guess it explains why some shows are just Netflix/hulu exclusive.
...but are there animated shows that are streaming exclusive?
>>80608351
Intros in general are being deserted, to make for more time for the actual show. Most of them just do that quick, 5-10 second long stinger at the beginning of a show.
>>80610511
>He thinks credits are actually aired as well.
The cut the credits first, before they cut the intros.
More commercial time, and it's not a new thing. The intro to Beast Wars is a minute long, but it was halved for airing in America.
>>80608351
It's funny, after all these years I still watch that sequence and hope that Dana's little nipples would pop out.
>>80611117
Technically credits are there, but usually "squished" or overridden.

>Cyclops presented before Wolverine
That's how we know it was the 90's, kids.
>>80611931
I'm pretty sure Wolverine's explosion in popularity happened well before the mid-90s.
>>80611983
I think it's more the first X-Men movie paired with Hugh Jackman that cemented his popularity.
In the 90's Wolverine was cool, but not lets-just-have-him-in-every-X-title cool, no ?
