Looks like Sony's giving us an animated Ghostbusters movie in addition to the animated Spider Man movie.
What do you guys think?
I think they're really overestimating how well this remake is gonna do.
HOPE IS STILL ALIVE!

*smacks lips*
AWWW HELL NAWW!
THE POWER OF PATTY COMPELS YOOUUUU!

>mfw they bring back the real ghostbusters VAs
>>80570736
Which ones? Originals or the replacements?
>>80569951
How can you say that? It's has the greatest plot and jokes ever!

It's too bad that Lorenzo Music is dead.
That reminds me, I always liked this...
>Bill Murray plays Pete Venkman in Ghostbusters
>Lorenzo Music plays Pete Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon
>Lorenzo Music plays Garfield in the Garfield animated series
>Lorenzo Music dies
>Bill Murray plays Garfield in the Garfield live action movies
It's like pottery.
So, are these animated action movies gonna be a new thing?
Shit, I'm game.
Watch it be based on Girlbusters.

hype
>>80569951
This. Given how dumb Hollywood suits can be I think when this remake inevitably does poorly the lesson they take from it will be that people hate Ghostbusters rather than that they hate unfunny soulless cash ins of dubious quality.

They wouldn't, that'd be putting all their eggs in one basket.
Of course, I'm not going to put it past Sony to make bad decisions.

You did read the leaked e-mails, right? They're run by a bunch of monkeys.
>>80572381
WHERE are all these leaked emails everybody quotes?

looking at the trailer it looks like sony has no faith in the reboot since they're marketing it as a sequel.
i wouldn't be surprised if they found some way to tie it to the originals either with the animated movie or including a after credit scene in post.

>Sony contacted Hasbro for the MLP movie and showed them their script
>mfw Hasbro told them to fuck off.

I find the concept drastically less offensive if it is sold as a sequel as opposed to a reboot.
Though I still doubt I'll like it and I have no intent of ever paying to watch it.
My life philosophy on animation, movies and everything else is as follows:
>Hope for the best but assume everything and everyone is shit.
This way I can be pleasantly surprised when things are actually good and I'm not hurt when they suck as expected.
>What do you guys think?

I'd be fine with it being a sequel actually. I don't care that they're all women or whatever, I care that they're rebooting my favourite movie with no respect for the original.
