The plot is kind of shitty but I like the characters and their interactions. It would be better if they just went full Time Squad like the post-52 Booster Gold ongoing instead of pretending like the Vandal Savage plot matters.

I really want to like it and I sincerely hope it finds its footing. I was so excited for the time travel aspect of the show and they've managed to get themselves stuck in some conveniently boring eras. The part where they go to 1975 is what I signed up for. The costume design and atmosphere. Other than that they've been in the late 80s and 2040s which happen to look exactly like 2016. I can't believe I'm going to say this about a show I watch but I wish they'd slow it down with the overarching story and take a few episodes in between boring Savage plot to visit interesting time periods.

Eh, not really. That scene in the first episode where he's talking about the future, and looks out into the horizon and waves is hand as he says "the future...." made me lose my shit. It was like a parody of the guy from futurama who welcomes everyone to the world of tomorrow. That, and anytime he's flipping out, and being angry or emotional, it just feels and looks like he's reading a script. He either overacts to the point of ridiculousness, or he just does his boring generic dr. who thing.

I disagree, one cool thing in LoT is the fact that we get to see different sides to Snart's character. He's got a "Captain Cold" voice, but go back and rewatch the scene where he's talking to his younger self, that's a VERY different tone of voice and mannerisms.
