These movies was based on the childrens stories by the danish writer Ole Lund Kirkegaard. They where written in the early 60s and the 70s, which is why the stories might feel a bit weird to people. The biggest problem with them is the fact that they tried to take his original drawing for the books and turn them into a 3d mishmash that just looks horrible.
