It's funky winkerbean for young people.
>>79679706
Funky Cancerbean? It's 50% smug and 50% depression, and if you've ever read Crankshaft, they're in the same sad universe.
It began as a gag-a-day strip about a city high school and evolved over forty years to be a social issues soap opera about a city high school.

explain people to me /co/
It's a comic where everyone is at a dead end in life and has lost all ability to feel joy.
>>79679813
Its Funky Winkerbean if was shit

What's the jo-
>astronomy globe
>Ursa... Major
I get it. It's not funny, but I get it.
>>79679961
Here, have one with no punchline.
>>79679993
Remember when Lisa came to the future during a high school reunion and asked why her older self wasn't there
>>79679993
Doesn't it just take the fun out of living?
>>79679993
Well... It's still no Heathcliff...
Look at this guy. You can tell he didn't want to spend his life cutting down sick trees.
>>79680052
Heathcliff has the Garbage Ape, that trumps all
>>79679898
Some are old and some are young, and both groups like different versions of the same shit.
>>79679706
A light hearted addition to your local funny-pages.
>>79680674
How does he get out of this one?
Cancer and Afghanistan.
>>79680706
>>79680734
That seems like a terrible idea
>>79679909
>>79679961
Why not use ursa minor for the joke? "Sorry, we don't serve drinks to minors."
>>79680957
Certainly not ideal but Khan wasn't able to disarm it. It was basically take the risk or leave Wally to die.
>>79680017
I remember when Younger Les found out that she died due to cancer but didn't tell her
>>79681019
Because that'd be funnier, anon.
>>79679706
CANCER CANCER CANCER
DEAD WIFE DEAD WIFE DEAD WIFE
>>79680158
Jesus christ, even the trees in this universe are in terrible condition.
>>79681062
Or you could just call in a bomb squad.
>>79681401
>>79680017
There's time travel in this comic?
>>79681670
HOL UP
>>79681736
I don't remember how it ended but I don't think it actually happened for real.
>>79681736
Some weird time portal thing brought the younger Funky gang 20 years into the future, and they meet their current, chunky counterparts
What would Russian think about Funky Winkerbean?
It's a tragic-seinen-manga sort of depression fest. I'm honestly surprised it still gets published.
The scariest part is that it's actually pretty good.
>>79681794
so that he can depress his old happy-go-lucky characters?
>>79681062
>>79680734
Now that's a mudslime worth having as a friend.
The joke is that the guy feels he need to correct the other guy that "action figures" are not "dollies"
>>79681867
Only Young Les really got depressed because
he found out the truth
Apart from the standard "aw man that's who I grow up to be" past-self-meets-future-self stuff and Younger Cindy ragging on Older Cindy for still being single, everyone else's younger selves pretty much stay happy-go-lucky
I suppose Younger Lisa was affected too but she was under the impression that her older self was "in Europe" than dead
>>79679898
They aren't quite mops and they're not quite puppets... but man haha.
So to answer your question, I don't know.
>>79679706
>>79682027
This should be a banner.
>>79681794
That was a dream les had
>>79681894
he punches the mudslime in the face right after for selling rockets that downed his helicopter or something
>>79682157
>>79682027
How's this?
>>79684480
Alternatively
>>79682027
Almost any Funky panel could be a 4chan banner
>>79682027
Yeah, that's the comic in a nutshell.
>>79681670
Maybe his leg was getting tired.
>>79684480
>>79684518
I feel like the logo/name should be more visible. Try making a white border around it.
>>79687164
Better?
>>79687678
That gradient might be a pain in the ass to edit but I think it's be better to edit out those characters in the lower-right altogether. The background detail makes it hard for the logo to stand out.
>>79681701
Who is she and is she a re occurring character?
>>79688367
That's Becky. She's sort of a recurring character. When she was introduced in the comic she was one of the students during the 90's. At one point she and her boyfriend got drunk and a car accident occurred that caused her to lose her arm.
Eventually she got a job being the high school's band conductor.
>>79687716
How's this?
Crankshaft is winkerbean universe still right?
didn't it have the main guy lose his lottery ticket, and it turned out it won, then the fucking clerk at the drug store or whatever claimed they bought the ticket even they would just say "let's check the fucking security cameras since this is fucking suspicious"
he looks kinda like a cvck
>>79681670
They kinda were the bomb squad. They were removing land mines in Afghanistan.
