>>
>>79645467
I don't mind exiling Sasquatch and Puck to space, they were always lame. Aurora can be cool but she's been stuck in the same shitty split personality bs storyline for ages.

At least Snowbird, Talisman, Guardian, and Marina should all still be in Canada
>>
>>79645467
I'm just happy they're being used in a good series as more than just heroes to kill off to show a threat is serious.

I live in PEI and our government gave a bunch of money away as a loan to try and set us up at the e-gaming center of the east coast and then a couple weeks later backed out and said "oh they don't have to pay back the federal loan because we agreed they'd pay us back with the profits. The taxpayers do not have a single clue where that money was spent.

If the rest of the country's provincial governments are like ours, pretty fucking evil.

>>
>>79651227

>>
>>79651924

Fuck you. Canada's flag is a benchmark of modern visual design. It's both simple and distinctive, which means you can do anything with it. You can turn it around, chop it up, alter the colours and even replace some of the elements and it'll still be recognizable.

You turn half of Europe's flags upside-down and they'll look like the flags of their bitterest enemies. America, China and Saudi Arabia's flags are distinctive enough to be recognized at a glance, but their elements are so generic that if you rearranged them into anything else they'd be unrecognizable. Fuck your flags, Canada the best.

It's boring and uninspired. Plus, there are more maple trees in the US than there are in Canada, so it isn't even indicative of the majority of Canada.

>Lying about the actual content

You mean to say it's about a Canadian resistance in one of Canada's middle-bum-fuck provinces fighting against the Americans who annexed Canada using giant mechs. The Canadians have dick all and steal American tech to fight back, but can hardly operate any of their shit. Americans want "muh crystal clean lake water" because they ruined their ecosystem.

Now it's up to:
>National hero red-head who is an Ottawa survivor
>Strong female resistance leader
>Gay turbo bear and his wolf dog
>Quebecois previously famous comedian who will inspire Canadians
>The native guy
>The Girl whose race is ambiguous until issue 4 where it turns out she descended from Syrian refugees
>White straight guy who dies in the first issue explaining how Superman is Canadian
to save the day and free Canada.

Honestly, I had my hopes for it. But then it went full soapbox and idiocy. Turns out the main antagonist is Canadian too, but grew up in the states. So that justifies why she's so evil. And then "let's poison our own water forever, that'll send the Americans out of Canada. This is a good idea". And finally, in the last issue after MC goes Jihad John, her POW brother says she'll be remembered as one of Canada's greatest historical figures, right up there with "the Trudeaus"! HE WASN'T EVEN IN OFFICE YET AND VAUGHN WAS ALREADY STROKING HIS LIBERAL WILLY! Politics aside, Justin Trudeau hasn't even achieved anything of great note as Prime Minister, other than bring in 20,000 Syrians into Canada, and barely finding housing for them in cities like Vancouver and Ottawa.

This comic slipped up somewhere around issue 3, and just became Brian K. Vaughn's Canadian wet dream mouth piece.

At best it's a 6.5/10 mini series. Fuck anyone who thinks it's any better than that.

I thought it would actually be cool if Wolverine deals with his time in Alpha Flight. Mysterious man killing people and turning their body into dry husks have the natives talking about Wendigos, forcing the team in investigate. However, Guardians' distrust of native legend brings tension between him and Logan about how the research should be investigated. Doesn't help that there's a sexual tension between Logan and Guardian's girlfriend. They eventually capture Sasquatch, who Guardian is convinced is the culprit but Logan thinks he's innocent. Thanks to him they learn that the real bad guy is Omega Red who crossed the Bering strait and is hiding in the wildness preying on people. They beat him, Guardian and Logan's tension boils over so they fight. Logan decides to leave, abandoning society for the woods once more. End credit is him coming upon the Hulk and reenacting that one cover. That would be a nice send off, give some attention to first world natives, flesh out the alpha flight mythos, give it a darker horror vibe as omega red hunts his victim, have a movie set entirely in the woods and snow, and lead to a potential MCU crossover.
