I like the idea of Bill's lair/private dungeon being in the top part of the Fearamid. Bill is going to tempt Ford to join him and rule the galaxy together there. The only condition would obviously be revealing/removing the Weirdmageddon containment barrier by Ford.

I'm going to guess that the Carl Sagan Ford shot is just Bill promising Ford shit if he tells him how to get rid of the force field, and nothing really comes of it. I don't think Ford's going evil or anything at this point.
I think the bigger question is what everyone is crying over. It seems to happen early since it's before Pacifica puts on her llama sweater. But who could everybody know well enough to provoke this kind of reaction? And if someone did die, who could it be so early?

I'd say one of the kids, because no matter who it is, they'd have the characters crying for a kid, but the kids are also seen with pacifica after the sweater is on. Ford maybe? And it doesn't have to be someone they know well, I've theorized they're watching the kids tell the grunk that died "wake up" and it's one of those.. "oh..." moments.

None of the crap with Gideon, Gideon's deal, and Mabel's bubble makes much sense or has any consequence to the plot. It seems like all that stuff was just there to wring out feelz but it was all done so quickly/rushed that it didn't really work.
What deal did Gideon make? We'll never know. Why did Bill bother with the bubble? Lots of people were theorizing that Mabel was important to Bill's plans. But she wasn't important at all. I guess? Why did he bother? Why did nobody notice the really very small force field over the town in four days? All the illogical stuff wouldn't bother me though if I didn't feel like they dropped the ball with the character stuff. The payoff for both Gideon and Mable felt anticlimactic.
