You're then reminded of that fact, over and over again, and also reminded that it's the integrity of the system that makes it possible for you to simply wait for the day that the suits can come off. And that's all you're REALLY being asked to do; just *wait*.. and is that really so much to ask? Hell, here's a wide variety of designer drugs you can inhale through your re-breathing system.. And did you know you can volunteer to impale those furry mutant fuckers on spikes? Go nuts!
So, yeah.. desperate belief and existential dread make for a fairly smooth operation. The dropouts tend to drop out because of divided loyalties; Flask's love for Petey, Jim's love for Sarah.. emotional crises which lead Topsiders out of their comfort zone. Within that bubble, Topsiders are dangerously deluded, if not simply insane.

This is the first I'm hearing about it. The Topsiders' mask features are actually based on WWI gas masks coupled with the radiator grill of a mid-century car. The VR concept was deductive reasoning; another tool to make lifetime suit-wearing feel "normal".. It makes it appear as if other Topsiders AREN'T wearing awful suits.

There was a time when instead of faggots arguing over waifus like in every shit thread, Endtown threads regularily produced genuine Original Content and thoughtful discussion. The comic has since then attracted the attention of many more people, among them lamers who shit up threads. It was inevitable.

We came up with a character who was literally a furry before the war and by some fluke became exactly the animal she wanted to be. Now her entire life is in shambles because everyone and everything she knew is gone and she's being hunted by topsiders.

Plus the transporters use human brains so they probably weren't made before the war. No point on putting the logo of a pre-war company on it.

Drawfriend here, who gets a lot of fursona commissions. I REALLY hate drawing peoples OC's because few are well thought out or designed. WAY too many ridiculous hybrid animals (with at least one element being a dragon or gryphon), outlandish coloration, and more than their fair share of penises.

Look man, the most horrible thing you can do is getting typecasted into your fetish. Then you're never gonna go out. Endtown for me is a great outlet cause it lets me showcase art I can never get commissioned for (Or can I?). It's funny how little I draw of my fetishes lately wanting to concentrate on providing just solid general art that is attracts people that thoroughly enjoy that type of art. And I'm not afraid of losing the fetish audience cause that one will be satiated with commission stuff.

His story is rather long so here's a few bullet points:
A PhD working at a university, chemistry faculty at the time when the bombs hit (And since the university campus was located in a secluded area, so the bombs didn't do as much damage). The virus hit him when he has fallen asleep in his office. He had the unfortunate first-seat view of his colleagues getting slaughtered by those that mutated, some of which actually made out alive in either altered or unaltered state. He manage to save about 4 books that he thought would be "Essential to rebuilding the civilization" and fled. After which he was just wandering whatever was left of the civilization going from colony to colony but never truly fitting in and preferring to wander alone. He kept an extensive journal of his travels detailing mutation research, horrors of wasteland, fighting tactics etc.
During his travels he has grown to hate topsiders to the point of an obsession. He had witnessed few 'euthanasias' already and it only made his blood boil. Instead of using direct warfare he has been using mines, explosives and booby traps to defend himself and wreck havoc amongst what he considers an "insult to humanity and science". He's quite unreasonable in his obsession, resorting to acts of violence against mutated topsiders.
Right now he's working with Endtowners but things are getting more and more tense between him and the rest of the party due to his erratic behaviours.
