She has the whole, leading through forward action as opposed to actual direct leadership. The two are similar for sure, but actual leadership has much more control that just hoping people follow your lead. We saw this in IDFT where Star trying her hand at the more standard form of leading didn't go too well until everyone's lives were at steak.
In relation to the AU, she'd be the one with direction on what to do, and I could see the others going along with it. Lady is the enigma in that she'd have to be forced to be there by some force, otherwise she'd just leave and do her own thing.

I might be alone in this, but when I think about the sextuplets AU, I think of the characters as completely divorced from the stories from which they were originated. For example, I see Sol not as the brainwashed Marco that through some convoluted series of events gets to live with the others — but as a literal twin of that AUs Marco, that CASUALLY resembles the Sol we knew.
Like, if the same actor (heavily typecasted) interpreted another role in a different story.
For the same reason, monster Marco and even Mewberty Star are not literally the same character we knew before: they grew up alongside Marco or Star, so while still crazy and wild, they are more "manageable".
But that's just my view, anyway: tha original author has the final say, obviously!

The problem there is that there's not much room for growth of a story, it'd make for a good short story but nothing more expansive. One of the main reasons for this is that the scenarios that could lead to them becoming monsters effectively eliminates most of their previous character and their supporting cast. As such, you're either left with these effectively new characters in an environment away from supporting characters, which kinda sucks. Or you have them with supporting characters, but due to their inability to have meaningful dialogue they become the secondary focus.

Well, of course one shoudn't throw the baby out with the bath water: the characters themselves are funny and interesting as they are. What I mean is: I don't see them as traveling in that AU, and for some reason "faking" to be sextuplets for some convoluted reason.
Maybe I'm not explainig myself properly… See, I can imagine them as little kids and playing with each other: bad boy Marco making Marcia cry, moster Marco destroying the toys, and a very stoic Sol trying to stop him, while normal Marco cries, and Blarco stuffs legos inside his nose…

Well that was my understanding too, in that they don't have knowledge of them not being together as they are, but the actuality of the situation is that for some reason these established characters in their own universes have been dragged together and consider each other brothers to some degree.
The who or what causing this is irrelevant of course, but any form of development has to be from that snapshot onwards as if they'd been together in the past, they flat out wouldn't be the same as they seem to be.If it's any consolation is don't particularly like the AU, or any AU that gathers together people in such a way. It's rather stagnant, development wise. But I like to interact with the idea as I adore the anon who creates the AU works.

Well, to be fair it isn't even the weekend yet. That and I think Sabrina and Hope are so similar in their standings that people will just choose Sabrina over Hope when they think of acute background character for Marco to get with. It also doesn't help when the one concrete thing we have to go on with Hope is domestic troubles, not the most romantic concept in the world is it?
I also like Hope too much as a Janna supporting character, someone who helps to mellow her out and deal with her as she doesn't want her to get into trouble. Works doubly well if she's rooting for Manna as a way of vindicating her unsolvable situation at home. Trying to fit her troubled friend up with someone who'll look after her and all that.

Man, all of them could have some fun little scenarios. For instance, I could imagine if Marco got paired up with Jackie he wouldn't be able to have his say in how to treat the thing, whilst her confidence leads to increasingly risky situations until Marco's safe guy instincts go into override and he has to put a foot down.
Or perhaps she's got super strong motherly instincts, so she cuts all her risky activities and overly focuses on the job at hand. Leading to a weird scenario where Marco has to be the one to show that you can still be who you are, even when raising a kid. A relearning the fun side of things from the most unlikely of sources.

Yeah I think one of the strengths of the simple style is that you don't have to be constrained by realistic art styles. Characters and their appearances can vary to fit the mood, their expression or just the scene itself. SU does this with the heights of the main cast, and it's usually not too noticeable, but it can cause some issues with consistency, especially upon review.
Still, at least with Star it gives the characters an interesting number of setups. As for Janna, there were some scenes in IDFT that weren't the most flattering for her and her chin, but she's a qt anyway.
