I think the big clincher is that she always knew about his crush on her, since he's so terrible at hiding it. But she never thought of him the same way, as she still decided to date Robbie. Dipper also likely wouldn't want to try to cling to her when she helped him to try and get over her, they go to different high schools in different states, and she'll be done and gone when Dipper still has two years to go. Wendy would also likely already be in a relationship by then too.

So a while back, shortly after the Northwest Mansion Noir episode, Alex got pretty salty on twitter after some shipper asked about Dipper x Pacifica.
I mean, I get where he's coming from. Shippers can ruin anything. Avatar had the Zuko x Katara shippers who were living on their own fucking head canon and treating it like it had any chance of existing to the point that even the creators of the show came to despise the pairing.
But to be fair - Alex totally baited the Dipper x Pacifica ship. That episode could have easily been focused on Dipper and Mabel with Dipper solving the mystery of Northwest Manor while Mabel is the one who helps Pacifica find redemption.
I mean, didn't that make more sense? Mabel was the one who had the rivalry with Pacifica and was the one who started redeeming her and the one she'd had the most interaction with. In fact, her whole subplot with Candy and Grenda felt like tacked on filler just to keep Mabel away from the main plot and Dipper.
So the focus was on Dipper and Pacifica, Dipper was the one who ultimate wound up helping her redeem her character, there was a hug, Pacifica confided in him, there was plenty of fuel for a legitimate ship.
Alex really has no one to blame but himself for the shippers in a situation like. Seems like he just wanted to appeal to shippers and then get back on his high horse and be like "my work is a higher form of art than your silly internet pairings". It doesn't work that way.
I know this isn't about GF but Bowie AND Rickman? Now along with GF ending media is feeling kind of...final lately.

Here's something unrelated to my Music Video.
I've decided to make some GF music tracks for my soundcloud, to add something more to it aside from like, 3 tracks.
These won't be priority and are done in my spare time when I'm not busy (or taking a break) therefore they might not come out well or smooth, if I decide to, I'll post the [Rough Cut] editions, and possibly go back to them later to make them better, [Final]
I made this one over the course of about 40 minutes, but it was a part of a bigger track that sounded worse so I only used this section.
