I think the artist was trying to ape JH Williams III's Batwoman layout when she should have played the layouts straight.

It's a fairly common theme to stories about magic, but between here and Strange they really beat you over the head with it. Perfect for casual readers I guess, who've never read magic. The Hercules series of all things has a more nuanced take on mysticism.

I like Robinson's characterization of Wanda (he probably identifies with how she fucked up and ruined her career after a promising start) but the plots are underwhelming.
I like done-in-one stories but these don't really feel like full stories, just quick scenes.
The first issue sold pretty well though without a ton of promotion behind it, so I imagine it'll last long enough to get to that magic crossover event they seem to be teasing.
