Yeah I don't like furries even though I draw anthro every day and like werewolfs and other cool monsters in video games/movies I would never associate with any 'fandom' and don't consider myself one. Anthro has its appeal without being sexualized but there is nothing stopping the internet from such things. For example I am excited for Zootopia just because it looks fun
>>
>>78604550

Okay, but i was concerned by, something else. How are these characters "uncartoony" and what's the actual difference between them and the tons of fuckin' other anthropomorphic animals featured in cartoons for decades before this movie?
>>
>>78603931
Anyone else wish he fought with a sword more? I know Robin Hood's deal was the bow and arrow, but the sword fight sequences were more engaging.

Would have been neat if he combined bow and arrow & sword usage in a balanced manner.

IMO the best "furry" anything are actual anthro characters from developed media. Fuck Original Characters, talking about actual characters like say from Sly Cooper or Starfox. Meaning there's more substance to them as they carry a role for the media they are from.

There's HD remakes/collections of pretty much all the games. They're pretty simple action-RPGs where you can fight against and alongside Disney characters. They're pretty fun. Just ignore the fandom outside of 4chan for the most part.

>>
>>78609777
Yeah the fandom is horrible. So many annoying pussy begging thirsty waifufags who prop the KH female characters as being ever soooo special and begging good artists to make porn of the KH females.

If KH females were good on their own? They wouldn't need this level of cult obsession for porn begging. Aqua is the worst thing to happen to KH. Also fuck Girl Power Kairi for KH3.
>>

the first one is good
I recommend playing it

2 is good as well but it is a bit hard to understand without playing 1

It doesn't matter whether it's CG, drawn or stop-motion--a good art direction and fluid animation is always better than sheer 'quality' or realism.

It feels like FMF got the praise that it did simply because it was stop-motion, and MAYBE because it has A-list actors doing the voices. Otherwise, from a critical standpoint, it was a terrible movie.

When I was a little boy I owned this on VHS and autistically watched it multiple times a day everyday. But watching it didn't satisfy me, I needed to BE Robin Hood. I dressed like him and played with my bow and arrows everyday. I am so grateful I didn't turn into a furry.
>>
>>78622174
There is nothing wrong with a kid wanting to be Robin Hood. He was a very dashing and heroic character who fights the bad guys and gets the girl. Wanting to be a fox, and making an autistic fursuit to approximate that life goal, is where it goes from being a childhood flight into fantasy and into a deep mental scar.
>>
>>78614911

>>78619776
What themes are the 'mistakes' supposed to reinforce? Fantastic Mr Fox is probably my favourite stop motion but I have to admit it would look a lot nicer with smoother animation.
>>
>>78623223
Imperfections of the characters
Basically the whole monologue about wanting to be fantastic but being a flawed individual. Also call backs to old tv stop motion that had those errors due to budget, so it gives the movie a nostalgic feel. So both story themes and art direction.
Maybe it would have been a better movie if it had fluid animation, maybe not. But the point is that the animation style is part of a larger goal of conveying the story. And really thats the whole point of character animation
>>
>>78624162
Ok that makes sense. Maybe in a sequel they can convey that in the animations themselves instead of the quality.

I think Disney is in charge of what worlds are allowed in the game. They only seem to pick their more recent movies or the most popular ones. That's why Big Hero 6 and Tangled are confirmed worlds and i would bet money I don't have that Frozen will be a world in KH3.
In KH2 it was that Chicken Little summon and the Pirates level which was shit and I hate it. DDD added new Tron.

I just want to see Goofy explain where's Max Goof, but we can't have Goofy Movie worlds.

Robin Hood was among the titles to suffer the least during the remaster. It actually got a pretty decent Blu-Ray transfer.

The Sword in the Stone's transfer is absolutely abominable though. It looks like someone just smeared a bunch of Vaseline over the screen and called it a day. It's abundantly clear that absolutely no-one involved with that Blu-Ray actually gave a shit about making it good.

Depends. The Martin-centric books are all 10/10, and some of the other early books (Matthias and his Grandson, Mariel books) are all right around where you put them. The rest are literally the same story told over and over again. I checked out after I noitced some bits of Marlfox were lifted almost word-for-word from Pearls of Lutra. Still devastated when the dude died; Mossflower is probably my favorite book ever.

And I don't see why Sora would change. I mean Donald and Goofy never change in all the worlds inhabited only by humans. Lion King was an exception since the movie had no anthros but instead all "reailistic" animals.

At least the Pirates world based on the 2nd and 3rd movies has potential.

But yeah at the most I see that it's going to be mostly recent films that will have the most production in their worlds with only the really notable remaining 2D ones being used. At the very least the niche stuff will be half-assed DLC worlds.

Good god is KH3 gonna suck.

I watched it on a gram of psilosibe semilanceata and it was mesmerizing.

Particularly the bouncing line of treasure bags.

I also noticed that while Robin and Littlejohn are running from arrowfire in the woods at the start, the animation becomes sketchy, but in a way I think is wonderful.

True, buti t would be a great excuse to use Sora's original abandoned kemono design.
