Are Sam Raimi's films the most quotable and iconic scenes filled superhero movies of the modern era?
>>
No, that would be Nolan's Bat-trilogy.
>>
>>78589955
Eh... I feel TDK is the only one normal people quote.

Spider-Man 2 is one of the most cringey movies of all time

Still better than Amazing's halloween tier one
>>
Honestly feel like the genre has yet to surpass Spider-Man 2. Has a full, complete story that really feels like a comic book arc. I still really love it. Watching 1 on tv right now; it's aged badly, but still watchable just for the cheese factor. Green Govlin knocking Spider-Man out with the gas always makes me >kek

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z00fTwhmYX0
>>
>>78589905
Yes, but not because it's good. The movies WERE good when they came out but they aged like milk. They don't have the timelessness other super hero films or other iconic flicks have, they seem to have been stuck in the 80's despite being a 2000's production

And if you disagree with this, your opinion belongs to you and you shouldn't be ashamed in enjoying what you like

The kek that Spider-Man 1 gives me during that Thanksgiving scene when Aunt May slaps Norman's hand
>>
>>78600087
Well considering Amazing Spider-Man has better action overall, that's not too surprising if Winter Soldier did.

>>
>>78600087

The first two Spider-Man movies were great for their time, but superhero movies have poured a lot more resources into fight choreography over the last decade, and Winter Soldier is a prime example. The train scene was impressive, but it was one of the only stand-out action scenes in the movie. Winter Soldier had the Lemurian Star operation, Nick Fury's car chase, the escape from the Triskelion, the freeway battle, and the mixed aerial/ground assault to stop the Insight helicarriers, and they were all fantastic sequences.

He knows a hero when he sees one. Too few characters out there, flying around like that, saving old girls like me. And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer.

I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.

This is what I enjoyed about Raimi's Spider-Man films; though the designs could have been better for the villains, the dialogue between Spidey and his villains was pure 60's cheese.

Bane was good, but CIAs on 'nother level
>>
>>78603245
Not to mention all 3 of the movies are legitimately funny (albeit sometimes unintentionally). Can one say the same about MCU's boringly written quipfests?
>>
>>78603445
They're funny in the same way Evil Dead or Batman and Robin is funny, it wasn't supposed to be but you laugh at it because the dialogue is god awful and it's unintentionally a parody of the genre it's trying to be
>>
>>78602522
>The train scene was impressive, but it was one of the only stand-out action scenes in the movie.

Bullshit, Doctor Octopus' accident and the bank fight were also top tier.

I can't believe someone could watch multiple Sam Raimi movies and still believe this

>only pretending to be retarded

these movies were not spider-man movies as much as they were generic "super hero" movies in classic camp sense of not funny one liners and "nya ha ha-ing" villains who have zero personality beyond being...that, nothing about them was spider-man
>>
