It's a collection of Deviantart tier tutorials. The instructions are as basic as it gets yet he manages to botch every demonstration with terrible stiff drawings and he recycles half the content by copypasting it over and over in the book. He does the same with the other book he made.
It's one of the rare cases where I wished my money back. Never listen to Internet hype.
I suspect he owes his career to the claim he designed a shitty Disney character (with the help of Ken Anderson).
