That's it. There's no better written one.

i dont like her
>Mabel don't do this thing, it's dangerous and stupid
>I'm gonna do it anyway and expect you to bail me out!
>Mabel! Why did you do that dumb thing?!?
>You're right, I'm sorry but it's obvious I didn't learn any lesson
>No Mabel, I should actually apologize to you because ??????
>>78391062
>doesn't make stupid decisions on a whim like half /co/ kid characters, but still acts like a kid rather than a miniature adult
>actually sounds like a child
I know it's probably just a thing I have, but I feel that kid characters in cartoons could be made a lot better if they were actually voiced by children, rather than an older actress doing the squeakiest voice she can or just sounding like a grown woman voicing a young girl. It doesn't sound right at all.
Stevens a kid for the most part.
>>78390317
>Gumball
>not a little shit
The kids a straight up sociopath at times, the fuck are you even on about?
>>78391618
whoever made this image (and cringey crossover meme images in general) should be shot
>>78392350
Wait, nevermind, I read it wrong. My bad.
>>78391599
Lincoln Loud is voiced by a real kid.
>>78391599
chales schulz got kids from his neighborhood to do the voices. thats why its such a classic imo
>>78391618
He reads as a very "cartoon kid" to me, rather than a realistic kid.
Aside from his voice, Clarence is pretty real. Stutters like a normal kid trying to talk faster than they actually can, easily impressionable, finds dumb things funny and repeats them nonstop to the annoyance of adults, mind wanders to random imaginative things.
>>78392531
>see behind the scenes work for the new Peanuts movie
>see that the voice actors are children
>see Peppermint Patty
>voiced by a 15 year old
:^)
>>78393076
Are you high? Did you drink a bit too much of the ol Christmas nog tonight?
>>78391470
he said realistic not likable
>>78393198
I'm sure he meant that as a troll post.
>>78392384
>>78390317
>>78393473
now that one is actually clever because it sort of portrays what a shit character steven is
Johnny from ed edd & eddy?
>>78393802
you should watch the episode The Test.
>>78390317
>isn't a complete saint or an irredeemable little shit
>has understandable motivations for his bad actions
>recognizes he treated his sister like shit
>ends up caring for her deeply in the end
Well written characters in general shouldn't be flawless, and this is very important with children.
>>78392643
And then we have Jeff.
>>78391539
sauce?
>>78393244
It's realistic for people in general to be stupid shits, but it's not realistic for stupid shits to constantly prevail. This, I believe is anyone who talk about realism should rememeber.

Are realistic 12-year-olds even capable of asking philosophical questions?

>>78396398
12 year olds, maybe
>>78392643
came here to post this, Clarence deserves more love
>>78393505
That only lasted about half of a season before they turned him into a generic spazz.
>>78396398
It happened to me when I was ten years ago when I was 12.
I was extremely hated by my own family and classmates that I began questioning my existence and if I should live or die.
I didn't come out alive without massive buckets of PTSD. I even attempted suicide innumerable times during those times.
I have met four girls during those times who were practically my only friends and they are still my friends even after ten years.
>>78392643
>>78397347
I haven't seen a ton, but Clarence and his mom seem real good and almost feel like real people, especially for being like a good kid/parent.
>>78391618
Steven is well written but he's not realistic at all
>>78394197
Nice, I came into the thread to post him as well. Cartoon Saloon really knows how to write kids.
>>78392993
Meh, PP always had kind of a gravelly voice anyways.
I loved it regardless.
>>78394835
>Jeff
I'm sure kids with OCD don't act like that
>>78392531
Wait, really?
That was a sweet thing for him to do.
>>78391231
I mean if you're a kid stuck in an 1800's era town, sure
>>78392531
He must've picked the most annoying little shit in his neighborhood to pick Lucy, because it makes sense.
Also, Charles Schultz biopic fucking where?
>>78390317
>Mabel
>Gravity Falls
>well written
>well written, realistic /co/ kid characters
LOOOOOOOL
>Pic unrelated
aaaaaaa Ok ! , well done !
>>78402125
Well he was, so I guess he's well written in that he fits in.
Mabel is actually well written, its just that you fucking autist wouldn't know what a real kid was if they hit you in the fucking face
Like i don't fucking get this, dipper makes way more mistakes than fucking Mabel, and yet you niggers forgive him for all that bullshit
>>78403543
/co/ relates to dipper more
>>78403543
>well written
Maybe you should get out of the basement every once in a while. Both are not well written nor are they accurate representations of real kids.
>>78401745
They actually do.
I had a friend in about 4th or 5th grade with MAJOR OCD, and he spazzed out if you touched his desk wrong.
He wasn't really crazy though, he acted fine otherwise, he was just crazy about germs and took OCD shit up like, 10 notches.
>>78403543
That's because Mabel is always validated and Dipper is abused and shunned.
>>78403543
Also, Mabel is not well-written. She's one-dimensional and never develops and to make sure she never develops writing makes sure her every arrogant moment, selfish antic or delusional self-image is proved right, validated and endorsed.
>>78404081
And that's exactly why Zombie Lia is so terrible.
>no Russell
Really, /co/?
>>78390317
>Realistic kids
>Not little shits
Well that's a catch 22, as all little kids will be little shits from time to time.
>>78406129
Like 90% of the time (ie: the main protagonist from the Wimpy Kid books/movies)
>>78391599
this
>>78403543
>dipper makes way more mistakes
No, he's just made to apologise more. Not even counting the times where his mistakes were a direct result of a selfish and abusive action by his sister.
>>78404335
