Days before Christmas, Homer's negligence leads to Santa's Little Helper getting sick/injured. The family is distraught and Homer tries to hide his own guilt and cheer everyone up but goes completely overboard, and when they find he was the one responsible they kick him out of the house. Homer drinks away his sorrows at Moe's, wanders the streets and breaks into the vets to visit Santa's Little Helper and apologize. In his stupor the dog speaks to him, forgives him and tells him to make it up to the rest of the family. The Simpsons wake up on Christmas morning to find Homer passed out on the living room floor, having bought each of them a cheap gift from the Kwik-E-Mart and a barely-legible letter explaining how each gift represents how Homer feels about each one of them. Homer is forgiven and they all go see Santa's Little Helper, who is set to make a full recovery.

After an exhausting battle,all of the Crystal Gems are poofed and with Yellow Diamond is about to shatter shatter their gems while simultaneously cutting off Steven's head. Suddenly, Greg jumps in from out of frame and reveals his secret weapon; a rock opera that he's been working on for the last several decades. The rock opera restores all corrupted and shattered gems, restores all poofed gems as well, and the power of rock is so great that Rose appears as a ghost and Greg regresses to his younger self. They meet for a brief moment and say goodbye, as even the power of rock cannot truly revive the dead.
The rock opera saps Greg's power and he lies dying upon concluding it, but not before being named king of the gems by Yellow Diamond, who has fallen in love with him along with all of gem kind. He names Steven as his heir and passes away, reiterating his porkchops line. Steven is crowned the new king of the gems, makes Connie his queen, and they reign in a new era of peace and prosperity.
The humans all had arc resolutions before this so you only see them during a final credits montage, which is the full credits song and includes Steven and Connie's children and some last shots of all of the important gems of the series. The last frame is a tribute to Greg, who has a planet-sized statue in honor of his noble sacrifice and radical rock powers the end.

Bojack Horseman:
The last season is where we see Bojack completely cuts off everyone in the main cast after trying get 1 last big score in something he loves. Something that he himself destroyed.
