I like them for as embarrassingly stupid as most of them are because of my incurable addiction to gay ships. It's an extremely guilty pleasure of mine, probably one of the dumbest things I do in my spare time. Of course, I don't actually post mine on YT because I'm too ashashmed of my own terrible shipping garbage, I kind of make them for myself, as stupid as that sounds.
It does piss me off though when I'm looking for a clip and I run into an AMV that was titled as a clip or fight scene.

All my AMVs are /a/ and /m/ related and they're completely dry like a textbook. Nothing angsty or anything, just clips to music related to series in general, posted in Japanese with Japanese lyrics and another with English translated lyrics I'd done myself. Just crap I do on the side because I have no life and no friends, but I have 15+ years experience of learning Japanese on my own.
