Part of the reason I prefer stuff like Superjail and Prison Pit over stuff like this or Happy Tree Friends is that even though the prisoners get butchered in practically every episode, they're capable of fighting back and mangling their enemies too.
In Fairyland, Gertrude can easily kill all the hapless fairytale creatures. You don't even get a good fight, like how it skipped over the battle between her and that buff guy at the end of issue one.

I can't honestly predict where the story is going. It can do the Samurai Jack ending where she accepts her new home and takes it over, or the ending where she makes it back home with nothing changed but her love for the "real world." It can also go the route that she is in limbo forever for some secret sin she did in the real world. I honestly can't make a prediction.
