She used to be in good comics, then in mediocre comics and for the last 3-4 years, she's been in nothing but bad comics.
Bad writers tend to do little to no research on characters. So when Bendis picked her up for All-New X-Men he took an educated guess as to what her personality might be and then just ran with that for the rest of his run. Charles Soule came in and picked her up for his Wolverines series. But either he only took a quick look at Bendis to research her character, saw there was nothing to her and ran with that OR he just did the exact same thing again. Either way, she was the same generic action girl in that series too.
Now Taylor came in for her solo series, again, again did no research or only looked at the previous books that did no research and is running with it again.
I don't know where Hopeless fits into all of that. I would think he HAS to know better than this, but alas, he doesn't care.

Its because most people misunderstand the character, and most writers have miswritten the character. They actually think they are doing him a favor by shitting on him, by making him fresh.
This is because of Claremont. He wrote Cyclops as being obsessive with Jean because of the psychic bond they shared after she was thought to have died in Magneto's volcano base. When she really did die he was mentally torn apart.
Instead writers see that as him being weak of character, and therefore became a weakly written character. Morrison probably picked up on it, and I would assume Emma Frost was put with him because of the torn psychic rapport. So cue him being written out of X3 and being a moustache twirler in the comics.

A lot of people, who actually liked Inhumans, were X-fags in the first place. You won't see them on CBR for sure, but the truth is that I liked the pre-MCU inhumans, and I enjoyed the Lee/Jenkins mini, as well as the forgotten Young Inhumans stuff that no one remembers. The thing is, if Marvel wanted to push Inhumans, they could have made Inhumans / X-Men alliance, they way they did it with Namor.
