Nikopol story time
>>78224768
Well you gotta spend the time somehow if you're immortal.
>blue-haired woman isn't Nikopol
>doesn't even appear until the second tome
>put her on the cover
Bravo, Humanoïdes.
>>78224687
You are wasting your time. No one on /co/ cares about good comics.
>>78224863
I'm surprised it hasn't been torn down for scrap.
>>78224910
*tip opinion*
I also liked the game Nikopol.
>>78224877
They know what to advertise.
OP?
>>78225215
Sorry, I'm cooking.
>>78225261
Well okay. Bon appetit then.
>>78225314
merci
>>78225304
Man, he's quick at changing clothes.
>>78224687
Fuck I love this guy. Found him in Heavy Metal
>>78225446
Then, O my beauty! say to the worms who will
Devour you with kisses,
That I have kept the form and the divine essence
Of my decomposed love!
what Police Type is it anyway?
>all these bare naked genitals
I hope no mod or janitor sees your thread, farn. :^)
>>78225810
senpai, only a paleo faggot would do a such thing.
>>78225559
never trust cherubs
How was the movie?
>>78225804
well that wasn't a very long emprisonment.
>>78225934
Has been some time since I saw it. The special effects sure haven't aged well, I remember that much.
>>78226042
Deus Vult
>>78226344
_Now_ he decides that it's a good idea to start wearing pants, and it's merely the end of the second album!
>>78224687
The movie based on this was fucking great. Not for everyone, but amazing all the same
>>78226419
You'd expect people to remember that whole thing in Paris.
>>78226571
Seems the Nobel price commitee have changed their policy, because they don't retract prices that have already been handed out.
FIN
You're posting good comics, OP. Have this bump, to help you out.
>>78225934
It's good. Visuals were obvious when I saw it so they probably look really bad now. But it tries to string everything recognisable about the trilogy into one straight forward Hollywood-esque plot and I can't help but feel like that is missing the point.
>>78227255
Thank you, OP!
That was fantastically serene. Helped me wind down a bit.
>>78227880
>Helped me wind down a bit.
really?
>>78227896
Yeah, why not?
Cool, but short game.
>>78227904
This comic feel more depressive for me.
>>78227928
Oh well yeah. But melancholy and serenity are very close together, aren't they?
The uncertainty of the future and general loss of stability in the lifes depicted can either be seen as startling or one can accept it like the characters do.
I guess it is a matter of perspective.
movie with Linda Hardy - Immortel Ad Vitam

This guy gets it. I find the Nikopol trilogy to be pretty calming too.
>>78228149
>mixing real actor and cgi human
bad BAD idea
Bump so I can read later
>>78224896
LOL
>>78228232
Bump for anon
>>78228176
It was a pretty good movie.
>>78225009
Love these little bits of unexpected humor.
>>78225261
Thanks OP. I am enjoying this far more than The Town that Wasn't There or whatever it was.
>>78229365
It's a classic
>Nikopol on my /co/
>>78231496
Wtf bump
Thanks for that OP !
Just passing by to recommend The Hunting Party and The Black Order Brigade (art by Bilal, writing by Christin)
Thanks for the storytime OP.
what the hell did i just read?
>>78224687
That was a interesting trip thanks OP
>>78228149
That movie was so, SO shit. I still can't believe Bilal himself directed it
Bnup
>Thread is still here
Hollyyyy
BUMP for actually good comics on /co/
The Hunting Party is another good Bilal book, seems like everything the dude draws is right up my alley - love me anything Moebius-esque (RIP In Peace)
>>78226327
for whatever reason, the image of Horus just chilling sunbathing is hilarious to me
>>78226430
>>78226466
WE WUZ NIKOPOL N SHIET
>>78224687
>multiple bilial storytimes this week
yes
yesssssssssssssss
>>78224877
Would you have preferred the original cover of the first tome ?
>Oh god Horus is trying to rape me.
>And these jawas won't do a thing to help, typical.
I've always found that one of bilal's quality was that he's an artist that evolves continuously, and for me this trilogy is his final descent into symbolism and wtf territory.
After that Animal'z and the Dormant Beast/december 32/rendez-vous in Paris/four? quadralogy are quite psychedelic.
Wish he would do "normal" stories too from time to time, this artstyle is too good to pass up.
>>78226907
>serbo-croat scale for hate
honhonhon
Also, chessboxing was created in this album.
>>78241664
You don't know how happy I am that I was proven wrong
Indeed, I tip my hat to OP.
>>78238057
I don't think the movie was bad. But it definitely proves that there are things that comics do better than movies or books, and this one is the case.
What should I dump now?
>>78245294
>chessboxing was created in this album
Oh apparently it was. I really thought Bilal had just used an obscure discipline.
>>78247540
strange.
>>78246879
Dormant Beast please ?
Exterminator 17 maybe a bit too old/elitist, and I think you've storytimed almost everything else.
Thanks again, btw. Much appreciated.
bump for those that haven't finished reading.
>>78225934
the most interesting mix of CGI and practical effects I've ever seen. It has fully CGI people along side real actors.
The best part: in one scene a CGI human is killed by an alien that is played by a dude in a rubber suit. It's glorious.
Overall, I found the movie makes more sense than the comic did. And the chick was fucking gorgeous.
Sometimes I wish more science-fiction and fantasy stories were as unashamedly and beautifully deranged as this.
>>78227255
Such a fucking awesome ending.
>>78245294
I just wish Humanoids had released Rendez-Vous in Paris and Four? in english. I've got a book that contains parts 1 and 2 of what was at the time, The Beast Trilogy. I want the rest, but don't speak Frog.
>>78258221
Been a while since I've read it, but I remember the twist being kind of lame.
