Actually Hayden at least in RotS is good. His expressions and body languade are spot-on. It's just that he's hit particularly hard by uninspired dialogue. And it might be argued that in Ep.2 he was supposed to portray a socially awkward teenager who doesn't know to deal with both his hormones and hidden psychopathic tendencies. Ewan McGregor was in a better position as an actor, because snarky and somewhat dickish types like young Obi-Wan are naturally appealing to the audience.

Well, I for one thought it was one of the most solid movies so far. The only problems I had with it were the questions at the end, the seeming lack of world-building, and the fact that the only really likeable new characters were the ladies.Maz Kanata was best. And I didn't understand the scale of the First Order. If they could wipe out the Republic in a single blow, why did the Republic allow them to get powerful enough to do so? This is assuming that the Republic is the top dog in the galaxy, but we weren't given any indication otherwise.

Quick thoughts on the movie:
I felt like it was some kind of remake/reboot/sequel of the OT (and especially ANH), which was JJ and Disney's goal in order to attract the fans but also a new audience and I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. In fact I think the first two third of the movie really nailed it and I loved remaining into familiar territory while discovering new characters, a new plot etc...But I felt really let downby all of what happened on Starkiller base, I know that's kind of an elephant in the room, but come on, another timed battle against a gigantic battle station/planet weapon ? It just felt like a shallower battle against the second Death Star.But that being said, it only concerns the climax. And otherwise, I think the movie suffers from being prequel, there ain't much payoff, many things are introduced but left unexplained....
Otherwise:
