A whole generation has grown up since the Great Quake, and people like Trix and her brother Johnny don’t know what life was like before New Angeles crumbled. Suffice to say, they’ve learned how to make the most of living inside the walled city, and particularly within their ’hood. Johnny is the leader of the Kings of HelL.A., a street gang ready to protect its turf against any and all comers—though Johnny may have taken things too far when he crossed Leonard, a former Suicider known as the Coyote. Things are about to get a whole lot more violent.

Meanwhile, Trix is finding love in the arms of Johnny’s best friend, and their star-crossed romance is going to bring trouble of an entirely different kind.

The second chapter in Lee Bermejo’s acclaimed SUICIDERS series shows us a completely different side of life in New Angeles. Joining Bermejo for KINGS OF HELL.A. is artist Alessandro Vitti (RED LANTERNS), whose kinetic style perfectly fits SUICIDERS’ brutal landscape.

Yeah I suppose, it just feels weird to see somebody stick on a book for 30-40 issues nowadays

At least his run is better than it used to be

Nothing is good or interesting under Lobdell. Nothing. He can't even write comic properly. What then development?
>>
>>78199945
I know I shouldn't, but I love that costume.

He wrote a decent Ted.

He didn't.

It's basically Cass's costume on a man.

I hope the rift between Selina & Bruce is caused by something as stupid as Dick's dead, if not then the book lost all it's charm

His Beetle actually was pretty good. I finished reading the 2-parter and was surprised it was Lobdell who wrote it. He actually wrote everyone with respect.

Bruce can regain his memory, but need to retrain to be Bats again.
Year long training arc with Diana and Bruce fighting myths and monsters
King's Grayson becomes Batman book, Robin War/BREternal as build-up in the same way Eternal was build-up to BatGordon

I don't want Dickbats. I like Spy Dick

Just because it's a cult comic that has never been a big seller doesn't mean they shouldn't finally collect the goddamn thing.
>>
>>78204319
It's the whole run between the Waid stuff from start to finish, but I can't remember if he did any one-shots or anything that they might have left out.

Though when they solicited the hardcover it stopped at 138. I hope they're fixing it too because I'd rather have that than a paperback.

But nobody's buying it. Same thing happened with the Ostrander Spectre, someone recently mentioned they didn't know they stopped collecting it and considering how long it's been since the second volume came out then it's safe to assume that person wasn't buying it. It's almost never on anyone's shelf in shelf thread either. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that even when people post about wanting it on the internet they only want it with their words, not with their dollar.

Just because it isn't selling like crazy now doesn't mean they still shouldn't collect it. Even when it was first being published it wasn't a big seller. Really though it's DC's fault for being so shit at marketing.
>>
>>78204925
>Really though it's DC's fault for being so shit at marketing.
They're clearly working on it, trying to synergize between the comics, movies, and shows.
But they still need to step it up hard.

I'm interested in the idea of a cosmic book with all my favorite cosmic characters showing up, but a book starring Telos by a mediocre writer wasn't the way to go about it.

Though at least they tried to be a little smart with the cosmic launch this time. Spinning it out of an event with the hopes that would cause casuals to buy it might have worked if it was decent.
