Yeah, they barely shied away from it. He isn't quite as burly and the colours are muted, but the overall look is recognizable, which is not something I would have expected neccessarily. Apocalypse in the comics always struck me as one of the goofier designs. Keeping the armor with those wires is pretty cool.
