It's really not being contrarian, the show really isn't that good. The characters are all like two dimension and boring, the fights are boring after a while, I dunno it just wasn't that good, no like real overall plot so it's basically just all meaningless filler, too, which is ok for a comedy to be episodic but usually for action shows it's better if there's an overall plot.

Not OP, but in that particular episode (well that part of the episode) the not-pony girl tries to trick Jack into relaxing in her forest. Jack's duty to destroy Aku prevents him from staying put though and he eventually realizes she's trying to wrap him in thorny vines. His attempt to kill her fails so he leaves, but you see her in the brambles watching and smiling.

Hey anons, I just wanted some opinions.
So I just finished episode 7 of season one of Samurai Jack. I didn't watch it as a kid.
Does the show change at all as the series goes on? Does it get better? Because honestly, it seems to be a lot of dramatic pauses, a whole lot of nothing, and then Jack slicing robots in half. Kind of reminds me of DBZ in a way.
My question is, do I have shit taste? Why does it appeal so much to anons? Is it nostalgia? I adore the art style, the world building and the secondary characters, but often the focus is on Jack himself as opposed to him reacting to circumstances, if that makes sense.
