I almost completely disagree. Venoms voice should be clear and deep. Not grumbly, but growly. Confident, sarcastic, and imposing. Not a "double voice", because its only Brock speaking.
Carnage should have a voice like this, but more acute like you said, but not lacking in bass. He needs to have a double voice, because its Cletus "and" the symbiote vocalizing. Sketchy, wild, and sleazy. I imagine he's the one gargling and hissing.
