Has /co/ warmed up to Thomas yet?
It's a pretty decent show.

It's the new Thomas the Tank Engine Drinking Game! From /co/!
Stumble upon a Thomas the Tank Engine thread? Take one shot for each post between OP and someone mentioning Shed 17! Guaranteed to keep you soberer than a Quaker during Prohibition!
It's the Thomas the Tank Engine Drinking Game! From /co/!
>>78045230
While I was watching it, I thought it was dumb enough that I didn't realize it was creeping me out on some level.
It was like a stealth creep.
>>78045230
One thing that bothered me -- where did the arms come from. They clearly weren't the siderods. The fuck?
>>78045230
Did you ever get so spooped that your body turned into a living, screaming erection?
>>78045230
Wait.
Wait.
You mean to tell me. Wait hold on. You mean. To tell me. Those engines. Are organic? I work at toys r us and kids, mostly mexicans, but kids, actually almost entirely mexicans, anyway kids go crazy over this damn thing and I never get it cause no one fucking talked about it or hell no one talks about it now.
Is this in the show? That pictures super fucking unsettling. It's probably out of context or something, yeah.
>>78045562
No, it's just some tryhard creepypasta.
>>78045562
It's a creepypasta some guy made. It examines the absurdity of steam engines with people faces and creates a fictionalized fucked up backstory involving Nazi genetic experiments and primitive mechanical prosthesis. It's pretty creepy for what it's worth, straight would've ruined Thomas hard for me if I watched it twenty years ago when I was a Thomas loving kid. I've still got a massive collection of trains boxed up in my basement. It'll be fun thinking of this shit when I do end up moving it out some day.
>>78045562
Apparently the maker intended it to be a parody of bad creepypasta. He did a little too well on the ending in that case.
>the baby cry layered underneath the screams
>>78045671
There's really nothing parodic about it. It just comes off as another one of those stupid "The Dark & Scary Truth Behind 'X' Kids Show!" creepypastas that are a dime a dozen.
Realizing you made shit, and then saying you were doing it ironically doesn't excuse it.
Ya'll wanna talk 'bout Shed 17?
>>78045671
Yeah, I could see that. If it weren't for the fact that it's a video then it would just be like any other creepypasta.
The video is pretty well done, however, and definitely puts it a step above everything else.
>>78045547
If I discovered that I was someone's fourth or fifth attempt at recreating me from a dead me, I'd just think, "That's really fucking weird."
Thomas is an overreacting weakling.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=462KBuAhncU
>>78045671
Yeah it seems like it's meant as dark comedy. The ultra budget cgi accounts for like 70% of the creepy factor.
>>78045321
I love this post
>>78045534
thing that bothers me is the arms and skull are all bone no muscle or tendons to move or have them attached
>>78045907
Furthermore, if they could just clone the kid, why'd they have to turn him into a fucking train?
>>78045907
Aw man, you're so hardcore.
>>78046003
I mean, it's really not. Like, imagine if you found out the same thing. You probably wouldn't think the other yous were really you in the first place, so you wouldn't freak out and turn into a screaming erection either.
>>78045958
Because what kid doesn't want to be reincarnated as a locomotive?
>>78046042
You might if you come face-to-face with the next in line.
>>78046042
I mean maybe. But I can't help but feel like there is more to it than that. Like something deeper that tells us it should not be and terrifies us. Maybe I've consumed too much horror media though.
>>78045958
Because he loved trains.
>>78045230
This was actually a little spooky until the face came off and it was just a big flattened skull. At that point I realized just how silly what I was looking at was.
Regardless, there's still something inherently spooky about organs and mechanical parts being fused together like that. Not really anything to keep you up at night, but still, kinda unsettling.
Also why did it have hand/arm bones, but with no muscle? Why even have them in the first place? They obviously didn't belong to the kid, considering they're as big as the train.
>>78046132
Yes, but enough to become a train where all movement is limited to moving up and down a track? If you have enough technology to just make nigh-immortality, why not try something less complex?
The guy that made shed 17 also made this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBhLPbjyI2M
It's uh
not as good
>>78046117
Huh, was it the next in line, or was it the remains of Thomas #1 that were first experimented on? I can't imagine a 'better and more advanced' version ending up so deformed like that. Finding the actual corpse of your first body trying to break out of a tank and kill you out of agony and life envy would be pretty spooky, even if you are giant and made of metal and would be immune to its feeble little skelly arms.
Or shit, maybe they made Thomases all throughout the years the video takes place and nobody noticed when one was 'retired' and a new one was brought out, since they all had the same memories.
In any case, why didn't they document and dispose of the old ones like they did with the other failed biofusions? It's not like they needed anything but the data on what works and the source DNA and brain.
God, I am overthinking this.
So you guys just made me watch Shed 17 for the first time.
It's been a journey.
Nice little flashbacks in the middle of it to when I built a plastic Thomas railroad through the entire house when I was a kid.
I don't even know what I'm feeling right now.

Got a link to that video?
>>78046779

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Shed+17+video&l=1Just in case for some celestial reason it doesn't work for you because you're transmitting this message from the Andromeda Galaxy and all google gives you is Ewok porn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=462KBuAhncU
>>78045751
You clearly haven't watched it. That shit is hilarious.
The Scientist shooting himself and covering the room with sawdust was great.
Why did Thomas getting spooked cause him to bust out like that? I mean, my skin doesn't start falling off when I get the heebie jeebies.
>>78047247
Well I'm guessing you're not an experimental artificial amalgam of flesh and metal.
You ever had major internal surgery? I haven't and I can only speculate about how it must feel afterward, before your tissues grow and make the sutures unnecessary. You know like if something caused you to be much too aware of where your sutures were. And then you realize, for the first time, that when you move in a certain way you can feel the wrongness twisting inside your flesh.
That's the kind of thing the scene was playing on, although in this case it was fanfiction parodying fanfiction so it's gotta be over the top.
>>78045321
There is one post between OP and Shed 17. One shot would get you inarguably less sober than a [trustworthy, law-abiding] Quaker during prohibition. Your wordplay is inaccurate, therefore voiding your own guarantee, and I'll thank you to verify your claims (however in jest they may be) with a higher degree of discernment in the future.
I would hesitate to post something this autistic if we weren't in a Thomas thread.
>>78045562
You are really, really dumb.
Like a seriously dumb person.
So astoundingly dumb.
>>78046325
It was a previous clone/experiment that failed and was kept alive out of mercy, according to the creator on Twitter.
What's Shed 17
>>78050198
The greatest piece of media ever made.
>>78050224
But really, what is it
>>78050397
Basically, a creepypasta, or creepypasta satire, that creates an origin and downfall story for Sodor (the island in Thomas the Tank Engine's books/show), explaining that it was actually primitive bio-mechanical engineering that lead to the trains with faces, and has some fun explaining the gruesome detail of their deaths and/or emotional breakdowns.
>>78050507
I see. I'll make sure to avoid it.
