Long time Scooby Doo fan here. Like A Very Brady Movie, it was a great parody of the original cartoon. The casting was fantastic, the humour was consistent, and the lampshades were spot on.
The sequel was good too, but for different reasons. Instead of being a parody of Scooby Doo, it was good due to simply being a live action Scooby Doo film.

I like this movie and sequel still, they're pretty fun movies. The CGI for Scooby though is pretty bad
Shaggy and Velma were literally perfect. Everything else was pretty terrible.
Shaggy was perfectly cast. It says a lot actually when the actor is picked up later to continue doing the voice later on too.
It made my waifu obsession with Velma so much worse in my vulnerable teenage years

Looking at his filmography he's pretty much only ever done b-movie shit.
He's probably very glad to have a gig where he's pretty much indispensable as long as he keeps his voice. Most actors would kill for that kind of work; they're all freelancers, remember. Knowing what your next few projects are going to be is always comforting.
Being a main in one Scream movie and an extra in the sequel doesn't make him a hit by any standard, and he really never did much else.
