Was this movie really that bad?
ITT movies that hasn't aged well.
>>
I don't know, does a Bear shit in the woods?
>>
>>78019655
shaggy was the only good part.
>>
It was stupid as hell, but that's why I liked it.

Yes. Yes it was. If I noticed how bad it was when I was a goddamn teenager then it is just awful.
>>
I thought it was bad even as a kid. I like the sequel more just for the use of classic villains.
>>
Shut up and post Velma
>>
SORRY BRO

Long time Scooby Doo fan here. Like A Very Brady Movie, it was a great parody of the original cartoon. The casting was fantastic, the humour was consistent, and the lampshades were spot on.

The sequel was good too, but for different reasons. Instead of being a parody of Scooby Doo, it was good due to simply being a live action Scooby Doo film.

hated this film as a kid, and still do.

Daphne's total lack of bras was pretty good

there's some nice jokes, too

>>78021963
I'd ask if you were gay, but this is /co/

boom

Well said.
>>

Body-swapping was my first ever fetish because of this movie.
>>
>>78022186
Why don't you do it yourself
>>
>>78019655
The first live action scooby doo movie set in stone the canon that scrappy is a villain and is now in jail to all timelines/multivereses withing scooby do, so how can you hate it

Eh, I haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I do remember that the first time I saw it I thought that pic related was super cool, for some reason.
>>
>>78019655
It was pretty bad.
If anything it's aged excellently because of a combination of nostalgia and people coming to appreciate its strengths like >>78022462.
>>
>>78019655

No it wasn't that bad. It was fun and the dog's bad CGI is fine because an actual dog without cartoon eyes wouldn't look like Scoobert.

And I liked the adult humor and pot jokes
>>
>>78022462
Hi, Doc.
>>
>>78019655
I like this movie and sequel still, they're pretty fun movies. The CGI for Scooby though is pretty bad
>>
Shaggy and Velma were literally perfect. Everything else was pretty terrible.
>>
Shaggy was perfectly cast. It says a lot actually when the actor is picked up later to continue doing the voice later on too.
>>
It made my waifu obsession with Velma so much worse in my vulnerable teenage years
>>
>>78027073
what a waste of a monster design
>>
>>78019655
Good:
> Velma and Daphne in Bikinis
> Best Shaggy

Bad:
> Mary Jane
> Mr. Bean
> Did we really need Scrappy Doo as the big bad villain?
>>
the scooby doo porno was really good
>>
>>78025007
Amen to that
>>
>>78032413

Scrappy Doo as a villain was a god-tier idea but it was executed kinda poorly.
>>
>>78032711
Maybe so but that seeped into most the canons its why we are finally rid of scrappy, hes in jail.
>>
Linda Cardellini is a hottie, and also she was Velma, who is best waifu. That's all I remember about the movie, and I really need to know.
>>
>>78020275
I wonder if Matthew Lillard is going to voice Shaggy anywhere near as long as Frank Welker has voiced Fred.

Probably, he needs the job.
Poor guy was a hollywood hit in the 90s and the scooby movies almost ended his career.
It's a shame since he's a freaking good actor.
>>
>>78034960
Looking at his filmography he's pretty much only ever done b-movie shit.

He's probably very glad to have a gig where he's pretty much indispensable as long as he keeps his voice. Most actors would kill for that kind of work; they're all freelancers, remember. Knowing what your next few projects are going to be is always comforting.

Being a main in one Scream movie and an extra in the sequel doesn't make him a hit by any standard, and he really never did much else.

I recommend you to SLC Punk.
Lillard's a great actor.
But yeah, he's thankful he's the voice of Shaggy, look: http://www.avclub.com/article/matthew-lillard-growing-208823

>If it wasn’t for Scooby Doo, I wouldn’t still be in California acting, I’d be somewhere else doing something else. Scooby Doo the movie saved my bacon, to be honest—and it still does. That show is still around and it’s the constant job I have and I love doing the voice.
