Actually it is the other way around. Dragonewt hands are like an animal claw like birds, she have patches of scales and anatomical connections and the bone structure of the wing actually looks biological.

I don't think I can point out a single individual thing I want western animation to copy from anime or vice versa. This idea of an anime "style" is very reductive, and when westerners try to copy it this always results in some cookie cutter big-eyed moeshit with HEADS THAT BECOME HUGE WHEN SOMEONE IS SCREAMING!!!
I think the biggest difference between anime and western animation isn't style (both are extremely varied in this regard), storytelling or what not. As far as I can tell, the difference is generally effort. In the Nihons, shounen and seinen anime (and their feminine counterparts) are aimed at teenagers and young adults respectively. In the West, 9/10 times anime is advertised to children and the rare few that aren't are usually animated sitcoms like the Simpsons. This isn't horrible per se, Disney for example advertises its products towards children but sometimes makes an animated film even adults can enjoy. The problem is that many western animators think that because something is for children, it's excusable to halfass it.
Of course Japan has its own problems, for example very few anime can survive without copious fanservice, but I think that overall the state of Japanese animation is a lot better than that of Western animation.
tl;dr: Western animation doesn't need to copy/borrow, it needs to learn. If animation can get out of the age ghetto and animating becomes something that's considered worth the effort, western animation might improve without needing to borrow any Oriental elements.

Gargoyle wing anatomy details varied by individual. The general anatomical variance was meant to be a nod to how irl gargoyles come in a wide variety of types.
Their wings never had the extra membranes because it wouldn't work for what they had them do in the animation (i.e. appendage articulation, "wing cloaks" like in >>78023411, etc.). It served them to have a flexible design because they were more about form and style over function and realism. Western animation in general has always tended to put more emphasis in distinct silhouettes over rigid anatomy. The creator himself went into ridiculous detail about their biology/anatomy during interviews, panels and such, so there certainly is no lack of care during the designing process.
The gargoyle and the dragonewt are more or less the same core design, one just favors realism and sexiness while the other favors simplism and style. Punches/Blows with Weight and Impact that have a satisfying "crunch" factor.
We got animations where the characters throw really good punches but the most we see as a reaction is someone falling down. At most we see is someone just turn their head and fall down. Usually its the villain that get's these hits so a good solid crunchy punch reaction will make the blow so much satisfying.

For the most part this is a good fight, very enjoyable to watch. My issue is that its not the actual punches them selves that look strong as the real moment of impact is when the person hits a wall (which does look painful). It looks as if the person is getting hurt more from the wall than the actual blow itself as opposed to someone getting hit so hard that they need a wall to break their fall.
Other small nitpick is that every single hit sends someone flying. There's no quick hits mixed in to make the big hits seem bigger. Of course we are talking about super heroes who are defying the laws of gravity so this could just be me "not getting it"
