Guilty Gear is a weird case. It's heavily inspired by Jojo (Sol has Jotaro's catchphrase, Everything about Zappa's design and Raoh, Robo-Ky has DAME DAME as MUDA MUDA, ect) which references western music, so Guilty Gear does the same in turn.
That said, Guilty Gear is a shitload more subtle about it than Jojo, with most of the references being in the names of the character's special moves (Millia's Iron Maiden, Bridget's Kickstart My Heart, ect)
Also, GG has referenced Dr. Who, The Ring, McDonalds, DBZ, Zorro, Hunger Games, and...Seinfield. The comedian, not the show.
