Villains that did nothing wrong
Pic VERY related.

Ever since Animated, Megatron's silhouette has been very consistent.
Other than, you know, shoving pieces of robot Satan into the core of Cybertron, thus causing it to shut down, and subsequently rendering the planet incapable of supporting life.

Infamous had a comic book.
>>77918857
He destroyed his planet, and tried to kill anyone wanted to leave the world incapable of supporting life.
>>77918857
Like the two anons before me pointed out, Megatron did some stuff that was pretty wrong.
Shit, before he shoved Robo-Satan into the core of Cybertron, he basically genocide'ed Earth.
Like, killed entire countries.
>>77918857
How did the civil war on Cybertron start anyway?
>>77924170
Megatron was an opressed energon/coal miner and was fed up with the shit he'd been taking all his life. He basically joined a fight club, gained a cult following, and rose up against the upper class/cybertron government and started the civil war with Soundwave.
>>77924170
According to IDW's current run on Transformers:
Very corrupt Cybertronian Senate declared that a 'bot's function was dictated by its form.
A big 'bot from Tarn didn't like being a miner on the edge of nowhere forever, tried to start a peaceful rebellion against Functionalism, and got the shit beat out of him in a prison cell.
Said big bot spent the next few years in an underground Gladiator ring, people around him said "Fuck pacifism, you need to get violent".
Megatron and the newly appointed Prime, Optimus, proceed to war for 4 million years, glassing countless planets and killing entire species.

>Megatron and the newly appointed Prime, Optimus, proceed to war for 4 million years, glassing countless planets and killing entire species.
Wait what, Optimus Prime glassing planets? That doesn't sound right
>>77924213
And what was the cause in the original series
>>77919488
>Kessler
>Not a villain
You never played Infamous have you?
Kessler was insane. He's the reason why non conduits hate conduits which is clearly not a rip off of X-men in any way.
Also fuck his boss fight especially on hard mode.
>>77924277
>in the original series
Megatron is evil
He does bad things
>>77924277
Sorry, let me clarify: Megatron was glassing planets/destroying sentient species.
Created a squad to do just that, called it "phase 6" of his planetary resource stripping operation.
I only wanted to make sure I didn't give the impression that Megatron was the one and only reason 4 million years of war happened.
Optimus was very much the other half of that.
>>77924277
Also yeah, in the original series, Megatron wanted to rule all of Cybertron, Autobots wanted Cybertron to be free.
I think the cartoon starts with Megatron's complete conquest of Cybertron, the Autobots fleeing, and Megatron giving chase.

Same thing for the comics?
>>77924390
Nope, in comics he wanted to replace a corrupt system where the political elite oppressed everyone underneath them to maintain power.
After his initial non-violent rebellion and subsequent police-sanctioned beating, he decides to kill all the senators/politicans and usurp rule.
Orion Pax, a good hearted police officer who genuinely believes in the system and that it can be de-corrupted, fights against the rebellion with the current Prime, Nova.
Nova Prime is just as horrible and corrupt as the senate, he eventually bites it, and Orion Pax takes the Matrix and becomes Optimus Prime.
He essentially becomes the military dictator Megatron wished to become, fights Megatron's rebellion across the galaxy for 4 million years, eventually gets the Earth wrapped up in it, and it goes from there.
The main difference is that the comics made Megatron someone readers could relate to instead of Robo-Stalin.
These threads are boring now.
We should start "heroes that did nothing right" threads instead.

Everyone in Marvel except Cyclops.
>>77918857
That's a funny way of saying Prowl.
>>77918857
"Did nothing wrong" is 100% indicative of a shitpost and should be added to your filters list.
>>77925016
Prowl deserves everything that happens to him.
SotW hasn't even begun to make him suffer.
>>77925066
Because clearly its on yours, right?
>>77922527
To be fair that exact cause of action would solve pretty much all of humanity's problems
>>77925537
He did deserve many of the things that happened to him, but Chromedome ended up getting many killed over that shit.
So why isn't Chromedome deserving of hate?
>>77925537
not every single thing.
I really hate that everyone is able to justify their actions as well at least I'm not Prowl and that makes it OK.
>>77924707
Destro can't be very good at running a company if he keeps giving Cobra weapons for free.
>>77925624
Chromedome lost Rewind, pretty big consequence, and I'm pretty sure no one knows he was involved in all that, outside maybe Rodimus and Drift?
>>77925649
Okay, not every single thing.
I think we can both agree Optimus' emo wank over the war and Prowl taking shit for everything is getting to be a little overdone.
All he did was make some nifty custom toys, but he was punished for his creativity, and ended up wasting all of his potential and being a garbage man.
>>77926188
Garbage men are well paid civil servants with a higher death rate than cops.
>>77924467
Damn, that all sounds fantastic. This is the current IDW Transformers comic? I love corrupt gladiator Megatronus turned Megatron.
>>77926413
Yep. And in fact in recent years, Megatron has kind of reached a tipping point where he's realized that all of the death and suffering he's caused really hasn't produced the worker's paradise that he always hoped for, and that his 'cons are such a bunch of psychopaths at this point that he's NEVER going to be able to. He's gone on to join the Autobots in what he hopes will be a more constructive approach to his goals.

Damn, thanks a lot. I got into this with the Cybertron games when I realized how much awesome lore there was to Transformers. I've wanted some in my collection for a while now.
These threads are boring, how about villains who did nothing but wrong things and loved every single second.
>>77926126
>lost rewindand then got him back. Even the alt timeliness problem got handwaved after one issue
>>77926126
Prowl having to take all of that shit was rather unfair, i mean yes he's an amoral sociopath but he's also the only one whose legitimately dedicated to ending the war, hell most of the shit that went wrong for the Autobots was because of Optimus refusing to listen to Prowl's advice and whenever something bad happens, it's Prowl who gets the blame. plus he's mentally unstable as well and again no one thinks hey maybe he should have a skype chat session with Rung.
Hopefully with Nick Roche returning and numerous bits of suffering, Prowl can finally get back to the prick we want to love to hate.
>>77927111
I still think its ironic that Prowl and Rewind despise each other yet both also despise Megatron and would have done the same.
>>77924213
The problem with all this is he became worse than the ones he rose up against.
