Not really. The plot never goes anywhere, so it's basically just Jack, who is a one dimensional character. helping random other one dimensional characters. The fight scenes are cool at first but once you've seen all of their tricks, which are already exhausted in the first few episodes, they become boring.

Actually the new show will almost certainly be seen as worse than the original show because the nostalgia which the original show received far inflated people's opinions of it more than it actually deserved. For the new show to live up to people's opinions of the original show they would have to change many things and then people would complain that it is "too different." They can't win.
