Former storytimer here, I can confirm this. It's kinda demoralizing when every marvel storytime is spammed with "fuck off shill" and similar low quality shitposting. Storytimes used to be a fun way to get community discussion, now they're just a chore for the sake of entitled assholes.
If there's an issue that hasn't been done by the end of the day that I particularly liked then I'll storytime it, but the rush to be the first to storytime an issue once its dropped, or doing long storytimes one after the other just isn't there anymore.
