When does this thing start picking up? The introductory episodes are a bore desu.

Also, the Art Style takes some getting used to but I experienced the same with Spectacular.

Around the time the Avengers unite to fight Gravitron.
>>
>>77773497
I thought it was amazing from the beginning, by combining classic elements with something new and still giving old stories a new spin.
>>
>>77773768
eh I guess it might just be because I don't really like Avengers that much in the first place. I just really wanted to watch some animated capeshit and I don't really wanna go through the DCAU a 3rd Time
>>
To it's merit, the theme song grew on to me around the first part of the Graviton Two-Parter.

The two-parter where they come together to fight Graviton is when it gets good. Shit gets really real really fast. Then it's solid for a little while, slowly improving as they add Black Panther and Hawkeye and Black Widow stuff. Then the Gamma World two-parter is where it gets fucking amazing again. The rest of Season 1 is great, and then the first half of Season 2 is as well. Then you hit where Loeb starts interfering, and you get a couple loopholes, too strong a focus on Tony/Cap/Thor/Hulk, and the only truly bad episode of the series ("Powerless", you can just skip it honestly). Then the last few episodes bring it back and end the show on a high note, even if the cancellation left a few loose ends.

The point is that you'll get the feel of things quickly, and the ride has got way more highs than lows.
>>
>>77773963
I love it from the start but the Graviton episode is when the big action starts so I can see people feel that's when it gets good.

>that fucking feel in early season 2 when the roster is slowly dwindling down with each episode
>>
>>77773497

Reading this thread is strange. I never watched the series on TV but downloaded it from a torrent site or some shit like that years ago. In my folder the Graviton episodes are episodes 1 and 2, and then after that it goes into the solo episodes for each character, as flashbacks, before returning to the full team with the episode where the Hulk chimps out and leaves.

Anyway, looking at the episode list on wikipedia, it looks like the order in my download folder is the correct one; Wikipedia lists Breakout Parts 1 and 2 as the first two episodes of Season 1. The Wikia for EMH agrees with Wikipedia here, but according to IMDB, the solo episodes are first.

What's the deal here?
>>
>>77774313
solo episodes were released as promos, and typically flesh out each character as a quick introduction.

in Timeline and in "airing" they really are the first episodes, but I think they were produced after ep1 and 2

What's wrong with the artstyle?
>>
>>77774313
the second time I watched it I saw it in the order you are talking about. It much worse than having the characters introduced first.
>>
>>77774313
The solo episodes were released online before the show actually aired so people that were following it at the time would have seen them first then the Graviton episodes, but the order within the actual series has the Graviton two-parter first.

I love it so much. I wish the movies were more like it. Not even the DCAU had this much respect for the source material.

>>77773910
The song is fucking awful and yet so catchy.

You know what I hate? How in the second season they basically eliminated the intro in order to spoonfeed the audience info about the characters. "Prince" of Thunder, jesus. Just because of that shitty narration I grew to really hate Fury's voice despite it being fine.

And how in the fuck is Cap "the first Avenger" anyway? Even ignoring the fact he's definitely the sixth, Thor was around before him anyway.

>And how in the fuck is Cap "the first Avenger" anyway?

Because go his movie slaves and give us your fucking money.

That's the problem with the MCU. The films are mostly great but they gave Marvel so much money they've become greedy bastards that want to shoehorn it into everything to get more people to see their films to make them more money, which eventually led to EMH being canned in favor of the Assemble snoozefest that's just MCU lite.

I liked how this cartoon felt more like a 60s cartoon than a modern one.

Just like the theme song, it grows on you.

I've rewatched EMH more than a few times

I never watch the introductory episodes though. They're boring. Half the reason the show works is because the interplay of the team is good; individually they're all kinda mildly shitty versions, except for Hawkeye and Hulk.

I usually just start with the episode where Enchantress starts fucking with them
>>
>>77776796
If you're already halfway through the goddamn show just finish it.

And yes, 2nd season is worth watching.
>>
>>77776923

>>
>>77776905
The rest of the teams intros are boring, but Thor's introductory episode is top notch. EMH Loki was amazing.
>>
>>77777145
I really liked the Pym and Wasp intro one, gives a good depth to the characters right off the bat and gives a great base for Pym to go through his changes in the series. A shame he was pretty much forgotten in season 2 though
>>

>>77777145
Man in the Anthill is great. The Iron Man ones are just movie fellating trash.

>>77777240
Pym got his whole Yellowjacket plot plus the To Steal an Ant-Man story in season 2.

>>77777715
/co/ now attracts tons of crossposters because of the movies.

>>77776822
It's very very heavily based on the Roy Thomas era of Avengers. I love how it's not ashamed to be true to the comics and makes the "dated" elements work by just treating them seriously.

I've been trying to force my way through the new Avengers Assemble cartoon since I've watched JLU and EMH so many times but it gets almost every single thing wrong.
>>
>>77779439
>The Iron Man ones are just movie fellating trash.

I thought the Iron Man intro made him look really weak, the way he was barely able to handle a bunch of Hydra goons.
>>
>>77779439
>Pym got his whole Yellowjacket plot plus the To Steal an Ant-Man story in season 2.

got my order mixed up then. But he shows up as Yellowjacket, pisses off Brande and nothing else happens to him.

Avengers Assamble is medicore. But I do like how they keep partial continuity with EMH, and use their art style for flashbacks.

And it's interesting watch a show where the heroes are overwhelmingly overpowered instead of the villains.
>>
>>77773963

Didn't Powerless not even air in the US?
>>
>>77784776
according to the EMH wikia, in the show she was a student at the university where Hank does his research. isn't that incredibly inappropriate?
>>
>>77776905

Well those episodes were better as twenty minisodes
>>
>>77785485
Not necessarily. If Hank was non-teaching staff you'd be hard pressed to find a conflict of interest.

And now the closer we have to that is that retarded muslim Kamala. It's a rarity when the snarky jokester role is given to a woman, they usually are quippy but have that "huurrr so strong" feel to them.

Is Giant Man the Martian Manhunter of this show? Literally everytime he appears he gets knocked out. And it doesn't help Jan doesn't seem to show her love for him that much.
>>
>>77793465
I uh.
I liked Avengers Assemble Dr Doom.
>>
>>77779439

I love that it took what was good from 616, Ultimate & MCU and made it a fun, enjoyable world. Plus it had Beta Ray Bill.

Also I was hoping a Squadron Supreme team-up.
>>
>>77796401
Pretty sure he beat Abomination in a fight toward the end.
>>
>>77796885

What did it take from MCU besides Jarvis?
>>
>>77785410
I've only watched the first season of AA so far but man is it fucking awful. Titmouse tier animation and character designs, the most annoying voice acting, terrible excuse "quips" out the ass, confusingly structured plots, extreme movie dicksucking. A lot of characters feel shoehorned in for nerd cred. Also how does it maintain continuity with EMH? From what I remember it kind of disregards it.

If it gets better later on by all means tell me but about ten episodes in it's a total chore to make it through most episodes. I'm only watching it because I've watched EMH and JLU so many times I need something new.

>>77785485
Hank first started dating her to get at that sweet sweet funding from her rich dad but he ended up really liking her, to the point he ditched his fiance.
>>
>>77796401
It's also kind of funny that the episode before Hank has his breakdown over superhero violence he was kicking all kinds of ass in that Hydra/AIM schism, moreso than the entire series combined probably discounting the time he punked/punted the shit out of Abomination.
>>
>>77797193
Not that guy but it had Iron Man being the leader along with serious Iron cocksucking in general, Banner was styled after Edward Norton, and a couple other small things, but this was before the movie really blew up so it wasn't until executives started taking more control in season 2 that you saw more movie influence. Iron Man fellating died down a lot more after the early episodes as well, with Cap being more of a leader. The second half of season 1 and the first half of 2 are totally the high points of the show where it found its footing.
>>
>>77797477
>it had Iron Man being the leader

At what point was Iron Man the leader in the MCU?
