Because it was completely unnecessary and felt shoehorned in because they had casted a somewhat known actor so they felt like they needed to give her more to do. Not to mention the druggie neighbour which really did nothing once he cleaned up so they threw him at the retard twins to try to pad out more time. Same with the second half of the Nuke subplot, he worked well in the first half, then he went off on his own thing and it lost the plot.

Sadly, these Netflix shows that release 11 episodes at once often do this so that the series doesn't feel slow through the middle. They ramp up a lot around the 6th or 7th episode, and many people dislike things slowing down after.

Except DD had Urich's wife's cancer as the filler. And maybe Foggy hooking up with bitchy lawyer, but that was maybe three scenes in total. And ended up affecting the legal side of the plot.

You can have a bowl of sugary cereal, watch the show without finding the themes and just watching it based on the hype that the villain alone produces and you'll be satisfied but not feel amazed by it.
Or you can go all out and make yourself some bacon, eggs, and some pancakes by reading into everything, and by the end you can either enjoy it or be so full that you look back and hate the entire process.
Whether you'll like it depends on how well you respond to it. Personally I fucking hated it because every character is a piece of shit and the plot is horrible at hiding its flaws. A lot of defenders on here will say
