Let's discuss Skottie Young's "I Hate Fairyland"
It's an interesting concept. I'm curious to see where it goes.
I'll start by saying the premise of the anti Wonderland premise is gold. I love the character Gert and hope there's a good pay off for the adventure that lies ahead.

It's alright. Seems like it needs to properly find where it wants to stand and where it wants to go, but it's, at this pont, average to alright.
I wish the MC didn't kill everything on a dine. Hard to sympathize with her.
Not bad actually, I read the second issue and thouroghly enjoyed it. I feel like the second issue was a tad bit shorter but nonetheless got the story across.
I'm sticking with it as it seems to be enjoyable.
I do enjoy the art at the back of each issue.
Scottie Young's art is great, I love seeing him do something other than those Marvel baby variants.
I like the main premise, but it didn't quite get an impressive start. I'm looking forward to seeing it develop.

Young is a great artist, and he's got a concept I like, but he's not a writer. I didn't really like his Rocket Raccoon stories, so he really needs someone who can channel his sensibility, but better.

Kind of wanted Cloudia's vendetta against Gertrude fleshed out. The Huntsman could have at least lived long enough to be questioned.
What seems to be going on, is that the whole land has been nurfed so that kids could compete quests with minimal risk. The bad guys look tough, but are actually pushovers. This of course backfires in that they are I'll equipped to deal with a single human girl that is operating outside the program. And of course she has probably leveled up in her years of dungeon crawling.

But to just skip over the first major challenge we see is kind of a fuck you to the audience. Heck, both Young and Bleed have something in common: Great artists, shit writers.
I'm a big fan of his style. Usually mashups of cute and gruesome don't sit with me but he does it in such a cartoonish way it ends up being a shade of tasteful. The story itself is alright, I hope all cliffhanger endings aren't all dealt with between issues.
I'll hang onto this one for a while, it has a lot of potential.

There's just no telling. Usually these kinds of scenarios involve the outside world being time-stopped. If the fantasy world goes that far, it is probably safe to assume she will just be a kid as she was when she left. If some other person falls in, I guess it would mean that time is still moving on the outside. Then all bets are off. I imagine the writer will try to come up with some situation that nobody would see coming.

It's hard to know her full nature, without knowing what happened to the other visitors. Do they return with the key and then someone scurries out and resets the game? Could the last kid have left with the key in their pocket? Could it be that no kid has ever survived this long? Could no key have ever existed? Does Cloudia even know?

If anything I think the "dark fairy land" trope is a safe bet. I don't think there will be anything revolutionary or surprising in this comic. It looks like a happy magical place but actually is a fucked up dystopic world.
But I think there is a lot of world building potential and I like that. I hope it won't go to waste.
If Gertrude 'normal' accumulated every bit of cancerous fat a normal human would when on a diet like that, why didn't she also have grievous wounds, considering that she busted bones the moment she dropped into Fairyland, to the point one of her arms was poking out her flesh?
