In Japan, a lot of anime is meant to get people to buy merch related to that anime, not just products that are advertised on the networks that broadcast them. This allows them to be more varied in content and to aim for audiences with disposable income. That means targeting kids and older people with jobs. Our view on cartoons is more narrow and so while we finally role around to pumping out Avatar the Last Airbender (still waiting for another show like it to come out) they have a variety of anime so there's a better chance to find something that appeals to you.
What they don't do as well is comedy, but that's something we focus on too much. I'd take PBC over WBB even though it isn't as funny.

Not the best episode but it has a nice ending. Panda wasn't nearly protective enough of his hug pillow. They missed a huge opportunity with that one, but Panda still managed to nap the title of the biggest weeb in cartoons despite that.
