just make a sitcom about three guys and two girls that board together, one guy and one girl being in a longterm relationship. you get to lazily recycle the same stock characters but have more freedom to mess around with it now and then. Like how Family Guy flip-flops with treating Stewie like a baby and treating him like a small adult with a sexuality. If they were all college aged or older then you could have Stewie being the 'kid' of the group but avoid all the weirdness of a baby having gay feelings and a scat fetish.
