Even though that series can get pretty edgy, I get enjoyment out of it.
If there's one thing Japan loves, it's western culture (especially american culture), and seeing things get sliced to bits. Raunchily.

Because Mondo is fucking broke.
All those new shows they tried to make a few years back completely failed on them, and Youtube's new payment algorithm that favours view time over view count destroyed whatever shred of revenue they had left. It's why they had to use Kickstarter to fund Baman Piderman and Dick Figures.

Mondo is incompetent as fuck when it comes to handling popular shows sometimes.
Just look at Dick Figures. Getting cancelled out of nowhere after the movie (gotta add my praises here, the movie was fuckin' GOAT) was finished and going on a "hiatus", with a pay-to-see finale. I'm not joking, you actually have to pay them to see the finale. I could be wrong now, though, I haven't checked out Mondo's channel in a while.
And Happy Tree Friends was really successful pretty much everywhere. They just canned their biggest moneymaker.
Watch the studio crash and burn by next year.

I was kinda "meh" with HTF, since seeing cute animals getting sliced to bits isn't quite my cup of tea, but it was fun to watch.

Generally, I use YouTube to listen, rather than watch. Stuff like music and podcasts. YouTube animation usually crashes and burns unless you use some sort of shameless method, like clickbait titles and thumbnails.
I'd go to sites like NG to watch things.
