Character designs are really terrible. Bugs has an annoying marketable squirrel sidekick. Episodes are 5 minutes long in a 10 minute period (which makes for super rushed episodes) and the Bigfoot character is one of the worst characters ever created.

Sonic and company can't look not stupid in 3D due to their lack of anatomy. There's a difference between exaggeration/embellishment and literally not having any bones or hair. Their legs are just tubes of play-doh that are just softly kneaded into their bodies. All this looks fine in a 2D cartoon, for whatever reason.
