The real problem is that the actual JLA team up isn't (or shouldn't be) the main subject in this movie.
They don't need all of the members being introduced here.
Also, the DC cinematic universe is getting quite a rushed development, overall.
They should probably work on making BvS appealing before trying to sell people on the sequel.

Actually I think it makes a lot of sense. Martian Manhunter is too OP and is difficult to get right, the hawks are too...uh... complicated. And Black Canary will just be seen as an attempt to copy Black Widow.
Mera would be easier to introduce, her powers are interesting and her personality stands out from the rest of league.

This again? christ. Am I the only one fine with a semi-established universe existing? We have a solo Superman movie, we are getting a team up movie that introduces Batman and WW into the world, we are getting a SS movie, and a WW solo movie before JL. Thats enough build up for me to a JL film for me.

Exactly. I'd go with either Mera or Big Barda myself, Mera is pretty unique overall while a female powerhouse wasn't done in any capeshit movies yet; I'd imagine Mera is much easier to cast, I can't think of too many actresses with the right figure to play Big Barda. Zatanna would be another ok option, but they're keeping her for JLD-related projects I assume.

The trinity together for the first time on screen from the director of Watchmen, an oscar winning writer, featuring an all-star cast, and great composers. Is that not appealing enough? Everything we've seen from this movie look better than the vast majority of generic, run of the mill capeshit we see every year
